I came here with my boyfriend when they lifted restrictions which allowed dine-in again for the nth time and it was amazing! There weren’t that many people We had a late lunch date and the food was so delicious. It was our first time to pickle barrel and I absolutely loved that they give you a dish of pickles to start with! The drinks we had were a frozen Peach Bellini and chocolate milkshake it was HUGE!. For food we ordered BBQ wings, P.B. Paella and my bf had the Ruben sandwich with fries. We both enjoyed our food and drinks very much and our experience here!
The Pickle Barrel is Amazing .I went there today with my mum for a meal. We loved the ambiance. The music took us back to past winter holidays in my home country. Their Ginger Hoisin Chicken Bites and Beef Chuck Meatloaf with Veggies was Amazing. All the flavours were well married. Our Server was wonderful and took great care of us. They took a lot of care to make us feel at home. They even added a mint leaf to our ice cream sundae to give it that minty zing. Overall we loved the place. Highly recommend !!!
We had a great experience at this location . The waiter Miss Mona was so attentive and friendly and all the food was fast, hot and tasty! She was so chatty and kept coming to check on us which was lovely. I was super impress. We will for sure go back!
We always thinking going to this place! And I’m glad we did, fresh food cooked to perfection with flavours! We enjoyed our dinner. At the front desk a lady greeted us with a very cheerful smile and polite attitude. If you’re thinking of going here- don’t! This place is ridiculously expensive I paid just about $50 for an appetizer, tiny entree, and two sodas, and the food is not good at all. I would’ve been happier getting fast food! The service is lacking, my waiter did not come over once after taking our order for drinks and food all at once. I had to call him over to tell him that my main course was practically inedible. Don’t get the chili cheese dog! You’re better off supporting literally any other restaurant.
4.5 Stars rounded up to 5. COVID vaccine check was a breeze, staff was friendly and welcoming. I like the layout of the restaurants, lots of screens but not distracting. Service is quick, staff were helpful concerning my gluten intolerance gluten free buns are available. The brisket was a bit bland for my taste but the sweet potato fries were delicious. Had the Double Monte, overall it was good. Was my first time there but will return. Portions and drink sizes are generous so take this in consideration if you plan on having dessert. I could not
My friend's daughter had her birthday dinner here and to be honest this was a big mistake. Our nachos was dry whoever prepared it must have just sprinkled a pinch of cheese on the whole tray lol,our food came and it was just disappointing, our orders got mixed up,the mashed potato was so dry, had clumps and didn't look appealing or taste nice either.My friend said her salmon and rice wasn't bad and my monster shake was also good.
A special shout out to Wyatt he has exceptional customer service. He set the standard high for customer service and if I'm coming back I'm asking for him. I saw Wyatt again tonight at pickle barrel the service was moving slow but he was amazing, consistent sharp to detail. Ps if the manger is reading this I want you to know what a great employee he is and how talented he is I'm truly impressed with his work.
My wife and I split a sandwich for dinner - average price was around $18 this one came in at $23 - was not worth the extra - beer was at $6 for a glass - pointed out the dried pickle on my sandwich - which was appreciated feedback and a complimentary dessert was brought out thank you. Atmosphere was nice - washrooms where amazing. If this was Toronto then the prices might be acceptable but this is Waterloo and the prices are high and your restaurant was almost empty - we came for the early bird special but the picture was pre-covid when it was $11.99 including an appetizer - now it is $14.99 with no appetizer - more money less food - I think the overhead from the mall exposure is going to kill this business - won't be surprised when they close. Better specials may save you but it may be too late already.
Visited this location last night and it wasnt busy yet it took the hostess more than 10 minutes to show up at the front desk and welcome us in. Once sat down one of the app plates was dirty these were the only down sides... We started with an app & it came out quickly we had calamari & it was THE BEST calamari in town... took a long time for our main plates to come out but OMG the wait was totally worth it they did not disappoint at all! I had the beef brisket sandwich and the meat was juicy so tender and the flavor on point, sweet potato fries were amazing with their chipotle sauce and their serving size was more than fair for the price. My friend had the fiesta bowl and really enjoyed it. Waitress was super friendly and attentive to our needs. Will definitely be coming back for sure very soon! Thank you to the chef and staff for an amazing dinner experience.
