Food is of a lighter fare, but very good. The Korean beef tacos and the classic stone fired pizza are very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Jen and I stopped by tonight for a quick dinner. We were the only ones there, patrons or otherwise. We waited for 10 minutes, then went behind the bar and found a person in the kitchen who sent the bar tender right out. We ordered a couple of sandwiches $8 meatball and $9 grilled chicken that were delicious. They are served with no sides, as advertised, and that was just fine, but a few chips or a garnish would have added a little to the presentation. Jen had a beer and I had a martini, both good. The total was over $35 so the beers must be $6 or so and the martinis $12. It is the off season now, so we will give them another chance once school is back in session.
If you want any service then I advise skipping this place. I stood at the bar for 10 minutes. Both bartenders made eye contact with me several times and never once helped me. I left the bar without getting a drink. I would give zero stars if possible, but it's not so there's the reason for 1 star. The meal here was disgusting. The pork was the driest I've ever had before in my life. My personal opinion is to find another venue to eat at if you want good food and any type of service.
Service was so slow . It took 10 minutes to get a drink . Now .... We were the fourth and fifth customers out of five total . At nine o clock an hour before close . By the time we got our food . We had 20 min to eat .
Cold spare atmosphere. Not well cared for. Echoey. It used to feel warm and inviting but now feels neglected.
Stopped by for a late lunch while traveling. The street tacos chicken we're loaded with yummy fresh veggies and the sauce was wonderful. Also enjoyed a Lunch Lady Bloody Mary that was spiced just right and served with a few thin slices of tasty charcuterie. I would definitely stop by again when in the area. Yum....
It's nice to go to a restaurant that highlights and balances flavors. So many restaurants pile on the greasy mish-mashed offerings together and smothers in extreme heat or no heat. Wonderful experience to be able to taste each ingredient blended and harmonized to a flavor sum that was truly greater than the whole of its parts.
This place was so accommodating, to our family and reception/wake was just wonderful. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and they even made a plate and brought it to me since I was using a walker. The owner just made us feel at home and part of the family.
Trendy, delicious, cozy outdoor seating areas, live music. Really enjoyed it.
Very rude staff in the bar. Went for the taco truck night and honestly encountered some very rude staff at the bar when we went in for margaritas. Clearly was not interested in serving us, even while being nice to the group next to us. Did not have the proper ingredients for margaritas or perhaps just didn't want to get them out for us despite it being early evening of the taco truck day. Overall did not seem welcoming to college students, I recommend that Grinnell College students avoid this bar as they are clearly not wanted there. Will be returning for the delicious tacos but will avoid going in for a drink in the future.
