Comfy, family friendly comfort food. I would love to see a few more veg-friendly entrees, and salads could be easier on the iceberg, heavier on the tastier lettuces, but this is our go-to place for a satisfying breakfast.
The food was great and our waitress was one of the best I've ever had.
The service and food are very good and distancing is achieved with separating panels. Staff is masked. The Frontier Cafe has been and still is a great cafe with great food and friendly/responsive wait staff.
The food and service are always top notch here. My.recommendation is go for one of their omelets or their waffles, you can't go wrong!
Was seated promptly. Server took my drink order quickly and recommended several options off the menu. I picked a meat skillet to eat. Skillet came hot and ready to eat. Server topped off my drink and gave me the bill. I was not rushed out nor hassled into ordering more food. Good stop and a nice little cafe.
Being mindful of Covid, I've rarely eaten inside a restaurant, but we stopped here while driving through Grinnell and we were very comfortable. It has very high ceilings and there are plastic partitions between booths, and our server was masked and maintained 6'+ while talking to us. As for the food, it was very good! We'll be back!
Always a great place to eat. Food is reasonably priced and delicious.
