Excellent local cafe. Great sandwiches, especially. Decent options for vegetarians, and they are very accommodating, and can do custom orders. This place is often busy, so sometimes have to wait longer than normal for a cafe. I always appreciate that they feature local artist works!

I've been going to The Penny since the mid 90s and its always a positive experience. They serve GOOD, simple, delicious food, like you should make it at home... but don't. I just had the most amazing sandwich! I like that you can show up the way you are, after a run, in between errands, or for a business lunch, and feel welcome.

Great little cafe. You really get the 'homemade' feel with the food, and the coffee drinks are excellent. This place is always very busy and I have walked in and left due to not being able to get a seat. That's my only complaint but I can't give them one less star for that.

I like the decor and atmosphere. The drinks are simply and tasty with locally roasted coffee. Their sandwiches are amazing, grated carrot has totally changed my sandwich game. Stay cool!

Love the Penny! I usually go here for coffee with my boyfriend a few times a month. They have incredible food, and vegetarian options which is nice. Very affordable and the staff is always polite. I will say it can be a little dirty, and it tends to quite quite busy, however, it is still a great place to check out. Also, a good place to study.
