Let me start by saying each of the pancakes I tried were delicious but the peach pancake was by far the best thing I’ve ever eaten for breakfast! It’s a seasonal item but man I’m glad I was in town for it. The lovely spread you see in the photo was only $20 and some change. Any time I’m in town I’m coming to this place for breakfast and I’m inviting people. Service was super great and the prices were even better. They are so many selections of pancakes !!
10-26-2022 We decided to have some pancakes for breakfast. We have passed this place thousands of times over the years using 494. Never stopped in, big mistake. Man oh man that food was delicious. Very strong and tasty coffee. The pancakes, sausage, crepes and fruit heavenly. We will be back in the future.
GET IN MY BELLY! This egg salad sandwich is unbelievably good. But, wait, there’s more. The fresh fruit with cream is divine. Our waitress behind the bar was a ray of sunshine. What a feel good place, belly up to the bar and have a great day.
Incredible! Upscale atmosphere, kind and smiling/ helpful waitstaff, and food that made an impact. Ashley waited on us, and I think we could be the best of friends! The Lumberjack Bowl was amazing, the buttermilk pancakes had such a distinctive taste, and the iced latte was delicious more coffee than sweet sugar- yum!. My husband found the gem as we stopped during our drive from TN to ND. Definitely worth a detour stop!
Highly recommend a reservation during any peak hours. Counter was a great alternative for small groups 1-3 Had the eggs Benedict, very tasty and rich. Fair prices but not cheap, especially for a group. Kid-friendliness: Not cheap, but a welcoming enough place for well behaved children Parking: Strip mall Parking style Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp out front. No stairs or level changes inside. But no wheelchair accessibility for the counter so make sure you have a reservation
My roommate and I have been regulars here every Saturday for the last month since I moved to MN, and I’m honestly disappointed with the way the servers act here. Almost all of them are always checking their phones, rushing patrons to place orders & dropping checks when people are not even halfway finished with their food myself included. I was a server for nearly 5 years & I was trained to not drop a check until the entire party finished their plate, or at least until the paying party/someone requested it if others were still eating, regardless of 1 or separate checks. I feel like any of these are distasteful & careless moves, regardless of the notoriety of an establishment. I don’t care if it’s a 5 Star Restaurant with Michelin awarded chefs or a Taco Bell, you’re working in the food & beverage industry for a reason- to provide great service to everyone. I always tip 20%+, and my male server still received it even with the poor taste in judgement. I’m not tipping you to sit on your phone, to give me a condescending attitude or to be rushed out the door. Maybe I’m wrong and this is a policy set forth by the company. But regardless, this location is lacking in their customer service. I don’t know if I’d ever come back, and it sucks because the food is great for their price points.
Busy! The staff were very friendly even though the place was packed. The food was incredible. They have so many pancake options. I love the Baby Dutch, but you can choose from almost anything you can imagine. We sat at the counter and really enjoyed it.
Breakfast can't be beat at OPH! Were rarely up before sun up, let alone eating a meal before brunch, but when we do there's only one place to go. We brought our 10 year old with us and he ordered the fresh squeezed OJ with 3 pancakes amd sausage, my wife the Avocado toast with a bree spread, and to top it off I ordered the cowboy omlet - it was the biggest omlet Ive ever had. It came with 3 pancakes and I was so full I could only eat one and had to share the other 2. Leah provided us with fantastic service and definitely made us look forward to the next visit.
First time trying OPH and it was great! They said there was a 20 minute wait, but only ended up being like 5 minutes. Food came to our table very soon as after ordering. Yummy!!
Short review: Best breakfast in Maple Grove. Longer version: Many years ago you could get a buffet breakfast at a local hotel that was just stellar and would take the prize if it still existed. But OPH takes the crown now. The Maple Grove location is a large, clean establishment with a pleasant, professional staff. Despite being somewhat busy, I thought service was slow. Since this is a common problem these days due to the industry-wide staffing shortage I'm hesitant to be too critical. Two years ago I would have docked them a star. On our most recent visit the food was flawless. I ordered possibly the most perfectly cooked over-medium eggs I've ever had. Pancakes were delicious. Orange juice is fresh-squeezed which takes it to another level. the biggest surprise to me was the coffee: I don't remember it being this good. A bag of this coffee would make a nice gift for a coffee lover. Seriously. The restaurant currently has a crowdsourced rating of 2/5 $$ for price. That's a little low I think. It's a bit pricier than other chain breakfasts like Denny's or Perkins, especially for meat sides. I'm not saying it's not worth it, but it is more expensive. I'd give it 3/5 $$$.
