The Original Dog House

I have been bringing my girl Chili to The Original Doghouse for roughly two months, twice a week for daycare and basic obedience. My girl was 16 weeks old at the time, very stubborn and very dominate for her age which was concerning us. She had zero leash manners, and listened to commands on her own terms, often straight up ignoring both my partner and I. We voiced our concerns and we were quickly educated as to why she was displaying those behaviors and laid out a curriculum for her to reach our goal. After the first day of daycare we knew we were going to keep her enrolled at TODH. The staff identified traits that we also observed on our own but didn't know the meaning of. This confirmed to us that there are infact trained professionals working with the dogs and is not just an ordinary drop-off-your-dog-and-forget-it daycare. She came home calm and slept like a champ! Total 180° change in just a day! In just 6 consecutive days ! Chili was was not only playing nicely with other dogs, even bigger than herself her loose leash walking dramatically improved, even heeling and giving eye contact. She now understands we are the providers, and is looking for us for guidance. We are very pleased and pleasantly surprised by how fast she reached this level, and it's all thanks to the team at TODH. She is still improving daily! Chili still attends daycare twice a week and we are looking forward to working with the team for the foreseeable future. We would hands down recommend anybody with a dog who needs attention or behavior modification to the team at TODH. The team is wonderful, they treat your dog like their own, use training methods that work, and have great customer service. Can't say enough!

As a new pet owner it can be so overwhelming with the amount of information and services that are out there. I initially went for an assessment, then enrolled my lab in daycare while I’m away at work, and Eddie & Emily have helped me understand so much more about my dog and how to raise her at home as well. The staff is experienced and the training is so thorough. Highly recommend.

The owner of this establishment, David, claims to love dogs and do what is in their best interest however instead of when faced with a situation that was beyond the control of the family he held back money for services he never rendered. I would avoid this daycare as it led by someone who really is in it for the money, not for what is best for the dogs. He also thinks sending threatening emails to a family who has already felt a great loss is appropriate. I did give this place initially 5 stars when we started as they asked me to give a review to receive a discount in the price. I was happy with it and that seemed like a good deal but with time and learning WAY more about how it is run I had to change my review in order to warn others. I requested our money back for services that were not rendered. I was told it was not refundable. Their response instead was that they offered other ways for them to keep our money and never once took into consideration if we could actually do them at our end. I would also never trust a dog into the care of this facility that claims to "know what is best for dogs" however kept money for services never rendered instead, as requested, for it to go to a rescue to help dogs. I would not trust my dog to a daycare that is more concerned with profit then doing what is best for a dog.

A big shout out to Emily, Eddie and the staff at ODH - they're amazing with our puppy Ruby. We have been sending her there 2x a week since the beginning of this year. She LOVES going and get so excited when we turn down the street. The location is super convenient for us and I know she is in good hands when she's there. Love that it is a structured daycare - and Ruby continues to learn manners while she's there LOL. They have always been responsive and caring and helpful with my barrage of dumb a** questions when we first got Ruby and the occasional ones that I still ask today - we were new dog owners and were a bit daft. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Original Dog House to anyone that is looking to send their precious pooch there. Thanks so much for all you do.

I've been taking my now 18 month old corgi to Original Doghouse since he was 6 months old. A friend recommended Original Doghouse because the staff are well-versed in offering a safe and structured environment rather than a free-for-all dogpark style experience. Original Doghouse gave my corgi the much-needed opportunity to burn off a ton of energy through play and whenever I dropped him off I knew he was safe, because the folks there took his well-being just as seriously as me. Beyond play, my puppy has gotten to meet all sorts of sizes/breeds of dogs in a positive environment, and I sincerely believe it's why he's such a friendly/non-fearful dog when it comes to other dogs, while some of his littermates have struggled with it. His time there also helped immensely with crate training. Highly recommended if you care about the safety of your dog + you want your dog to have a blast + you want an environment for your dog that'll carry over positively into your home life. My corgi perks up and run towards Eddie whenever we pull up, so that has to be a ringing endorsement from him as well.

The team of The original Doghouse are beyond exceptional, especially Eddie. He took care of my little dog for almost 3 weeks to treat her aggression with people and dogs. When she came back home, she was a different dog.We definitely noticed that she seems a lot more comfortable and gives off a more confident energy. We highly reccomend The Original Doghouse without hesitation!!!!!

I can not recommend them highly enough. They were the only ones willing to take on my aggressive dog. They provided a safe, supervised environment that gave my dog exactly what he needed to be successful. Great thanks.

We have an 8 month old Golden Retriever pup Samson that we have been bringing to The Original Doghouse since he was 8.5 weeks old. We brought him in for a couple of days a week solely for socialization with other dogs of different sizes, breeds and ages but shortly advanced to bringing him in everyday as he was greatly benefitting from the visits. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They give advise and tips on behavioral and training aspects and most importantly Samson is so happy when he knows he is going to daycare - he doesn't even look back when we drop him off, its like a second home for him. When we bring him home at the end of the day, he is so well taken care of that he is tired out and wants to play of course but not as hyper or full of energy which is nice for us after a long and hard day at work. We highly recommend the Original Doghouse! If our pup is happy, we are happy - luckily we are all happy! Thanks team for giving us confidence that our boy is in good hands when we are busy working!
