Thank you for your interest in our restaurant
THE OLD CHRISTMAS STATION.
As a family owned restaurant, the Old Christmas Station is our home and we want to share with you something special … something wonderful … as we prepare handmade dishes rooted in my culinary heritage from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy and France.

Our guests deserve only the finest that our kitchen can give as we celebrate the art of every meal. Each plate of food we serve is prepared by hand in our kitchen. Every fresh cut vegetable for your salad, each delicate pasta and any of our house made sauces and desserts take time. Working with real food as God made it means we need real time to make it just right!

While our guests are waiting, they may enjoy a glass of wine. I've hand selected delicious European wines complimented by a few international varieties to enhance the meal selections. For me, enjoying a glass of wine is almost a holy experience. I am told that next to water, wine is the oldest of beverages! Perhaps, you will argue that the oldest is beer, or maybe tea or coffee. We have all of those, too! A nice visit with a friend over your favorite glass may just bring harmony to our world. And, why not?

Growing up in Switzerland, I found a love and passion for food … for sharing the experience of the meal with my family and friends.

You may walk through our door today, you may feel and see something different in our restaurant. While we are not what you may have expected, we hope you will stay and enjoy the Old Christmas Station experience.

This is truly authentic European food. Some of the reviewers seem to be expecting mounds of cheap American fare, and this is NOT the place for it.  It is a bit pricey, but not compared to Bavarian ($22 chicken?). I always get "cod in white" for $19. It tastes like lobster, it melts into buttery heaven in your mouth and the rice accompaniment is always cooked to perfection. The food is art here; delicate flavors, luxurious decadence, and portions are "just enough." You won't leave having to loosen your belt, you might have room for dessert (also fabulous). I can't say I could afford coming here every day, but I will never miss stopping in any time I'm in town. Unique dining not to be missed for people who appreciate finer things and don't mind paying for quality over quantity.
As far as the service, impeccable. To be fair, I usually visit on Tuesday after a dinner rush, I've never completed with a Saturday dinner crowd, I could see it being a challenge for service if they were packed.

My wife and I celebrated our 30th anniversary here.  Both the owner and staff made it a beautiful evening.  The food was wonderful in that rich layering of flavors one expects in European cuisine.   And offerings were creative.  Who knew you could make lasagna with crepes?  Highly recommended.

Great place away from the busy tourist area. Nice and quiet. We were told it was going to be a long wait to get our food because a large group was there. We waited maybe 20 minutes and everything was delicious. We were surprised by how good the prices were also for such a great meal and service. Will definitely return when we go back.

We chose this restaurant because we wanted a European like dining experience and delicious food. The atmosphere was like a European cafe but the food was not delicious. The presentation was very nice, but that didn’t make up for the  fact that it didn’t taste very good.
My husband had  the lasagna, which had very little meat or sauce and consequently very little flavor, and I had the pork Wiener Schnitzel, which also had very little meat or flavor. The lasagna was made with crepes instead of noodles and that was all my husband tasted. The Wiener schnitzel was mostly breading and that’s all I tasted. Both meals were very overpriced and disappointing. The side salad had a lovely presentation and tasted good, but could have used a little more lettuce. The coffee was wonderful. 
The service was okay. Our initial waitress was very kind and helpful, but she forgot to bring us our coffee. Our water was not refilled promptly. The waiter that took her place just rolled his eyes when we told him the lasagna had very little sauce or meat. Actually, nobody asked how our meal was, we told him when he refilled our coffee. The third waiter, who cleared our plates, said he hoped everything was okay as he walked away, not giving us a chance to comment.
All in all it was not a good experience. We would not recommend The Old Christmas Station Restaurant nor will we return. Hope this review keeps someone else from making the same mistake.

Lovely atmosphere that I didn't expect when entering . Between dinner, app & drinks we spent $70 which is maybe more than I thought the experience called for. But the food was decent (not exceptional) and the drinks were unique and good. The waitress was good. The table was intimate and well dressed.
