I'm staying here right now and it's great. It's an older style place but in my opinion that's what makes it unique. The room I'm in has been renovated and it has nice hardwood floors, a smart TV and a comfortable bed as well as a mini fridge and microwave and a bathtub and shower. Can't complain for the price or room.Rooms: 5/5
Marking this one excellent because of my experience with Al at the front desk. The world is like a house… I’ll remember our conversation for a long time to come, thanks dude. The room is clean, bed was nicely made, and it’s got all the amenities you need, plus it’s dirt cheap, perfect for somebody travelling through. I’d come back again.
It's a cute little place with private rooms. You can park right in front of your room door and it gets warm pretty fast. We arrived and our room was freezing cold but the Hotel worker manager maybe? Have us an extra blanket and a space heater, and showed us how to actually get heat into the room. We did call in advance, so it would have been a higher star rating had they had the room warm for our arrival, however I understand not tiring on hear in rooms when they are empty. Not a bad place, definitely small but excellent price, the only downsides were the cold, that it's so close to the highway that you can hear the trucks going by all night, and also the room smelled like heavy cigarette smoking had taken place there for years. The smell was especially strong in the bed and pillows. I know from experience of living with smokers, that that is not a smell you can easily get rid of!
The hotel is very old. Probably from the 40s or 50s but it's clean the bed is comfortable the TV is modern and the service at the front desk was exceptional. I couldn't get into my room when I first got here and he came all the way down and got into my room for me plus you set the air conditioning and made the TV service ready to work. Can't ask for more than that
There's not much to complain about at these rates. You get a bed and a bathroom with a shower. It's older but I didn't really mind that. The only thing I didn't really like was the stale cigarette smell in the room but since I carry essential oils I just put some under my nose and that helped but really at the price, there's not much to complain about. Noteworthy details: Attached to a gas plus so you can gas up and get some quick snacks for sandwiches if you want.
Save your money. Its sketchy and feels unsafe. I had came with my friend. We are both in our twenties and felt like we needed to pack up and head to a different hotel. It reeks of urine and cigarettes. I had worn my bare feet and within minutes had black all over my feet. People must have been smoking in the rooms. The bathtub wouldn't drain because there was a mold plug in the bottom. I had to stand on the sides of the bathtub to shower. You can also hear EVERYTHING through the walls. Dogs barking all night. Awful sleep
The Frontier Motel has exceeded my expectations. As a first time tourist to this quaint town, I am genuinely impressed with the level of cleanliness, affordability, including the availability on short notice speaks volumes to the professionalism this old fashion hotel boasts. What a gem to the community.Rooms: 5/5
Located right off the highway, great location to stop over on a long journey. Just wanted a cheap place to lay my weary head. This place is like out of a movie set from the 50s. Old western mining town style trappings but clean. Tiny rooms. Lots of windows that open. The bed was comfy and slept well. Everything worked. Could REALLY use a coat of paint. Service minimal. Only minor complaints would be thin curtains, no coffee maker, no soap, serious lack of electrical outlets, and only hair conditioner for toiletries. Worst though was the drenched smell of Febreeze that could not be aired out. I have reaction to strong smells and I think I'd prefer animal or smoke or dank smell to this. It makes you wonder what they're hiding! Paint! It needs paint ....not in febreeze either! Ugh... The place is quiet from traffic sounds once updated windows are closed. Also the place seems full of all kinds of interesting characters. Some appear to live here but can't blame them....it is pet friendly in a province that won't house pets in regular rental homes. I loved the newer a/c unit and smart tv/cable, tiled floors, free working wifi, fridge and microwave. And the guy next door had a puppy I got to play with a bit! For the $60 I paid...id stay again for a quick overnight. Revelstoke is a beautiful place and I'm looking forward to the days well rested journey.
The staff here are outstanding! One staff member ran a block down the road in the heat after our car to return a pill case we dropped without noticing. The rooms are aging, but clean. An added bonus was the excellent choice in toiletries. Very good quality and scent. And the price! Amazing price in even peak holiday season. 5 stars!Rooms: 4/5
I booked this very inexpensive room with expedia about 3 hours before check in. When we arrived the hotel was fully booked but they had one room that had a window broken but it had been properly sealed up. We arrived just before closing and since we said we would sleep anywhere they agreed to rent us the room with the broken window. The expedia rate was $72, with taxes included she only charged us just under $68. She charged me single occupancy and didn't charge for my bf or my dog. She was super kind and even let us take some drinks and chips from the store and a peperoni for the dog and didn't charge us since we were only planning to be in the room for about 6 hours. The place was definately old but the room, bathroom, bed and sheets were clean. The shower had good water pressure and it was nice and quiet to sleep. Considering the next closest option was $200 a night we were thrilled to pay under $70/ night. Thank you Frontier Motel we were very happy with our stay!
