Great interiors and atmosphere. This is the finance bro lunch capital, both due to location and name. Their pizza selection is really quite good, with the honey pizza probably being the best of the lot. The apps are also worthwhile with the truffle fries and bang bang shrimp leading the pack. Great, safe pick in the heart of the financial district.
They have a lovely ambience with a lot of seating. I do recommend reservations to avoid waiting however they do walk-ins and the wait time was not too bad. The drinks are nice, could be stronger. I would suggest not adding the guacamole or chicken to them as there is hardly any of it as is and hardly add anything to the flavour. Nevertheless they were great and wonderful portion size. The pizza was delicious too.
Excellent food serving great food. I love the vibe of the place. They have the game and the music screens on. Also, the best time to visit is after 8:30 pm as they dim the light and light the candles all over. The food was excellent. I tried the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich which was not as spicy as I expected but still great taste. Highly recommended for some great food with friends.
Came for summerlicious 3-course lunch with my friend. Staff were attentive and friendly when we came over and seated. We ordered chicken taco duo, forger pizza, king tap burger with sea salt fries, and a mini pretzel chocolate brownie. It was delicious and did not disappoint our palates. Will definitely come back to visit!
Not sure why this place gets so busy on a weekday, probably because of its location. This place is quite spacious as it’s two levels and it gets really busy after regular work hours as people come for after-work drinks and dinner with coworkers. Definitely try to book a reservation in advance or else you are waiting a while for a table. While the service was great, the food was pretty mediocre and priced too highly. I would only come here for drinks and not the food.
We went during lunch hour without a reservation but they were still able to accommodate the four of us. The service was great. The salmon was a little over cooked. Overall, the food was good but nothing amazing.
Went for a quick bite at King Taps today. Food was pretty good. Service wasn't terrible but could have been a lot better and the environment tables could also have been cleaner. Overall , food and drinks were good and I would still recommend.
Yesterday, I had a friend visit Toronto from out of town. We decided to catch up over some food and drinks during happy hour at King Taps. We didn’t have any reservations and just walked in hoping to be seated on the patio. Unfortunately, we were told that wasn’t possible and that the seating was for reservations. We took a seat on the high tables near the bar instead, but hoping that something would open up on the patio. Our cheerful waitress greeted us and provided a few recommendations of dishes I had tried here in the past. We decided to go for their classic stinging bee pizza, a tuna bowl, and some truffle fries to share. The food we ordered came out relatively quick and it didn’t disappoint. The pizza was hot and had the perfect amount of honey to compliment the rest of the toppings, the tuna bowl was fresh, and the truffle fries were loaded up in Parmesan. We dug right in. We really enjoyed the food at King Taps and the atmosphere. For 2 PM, there was a good crowd with some nice music. Always a great spot for Happy Hour or dinner.
Recently visited this place to try out their happy hour menu that runs between 2 to 5. I had their - Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich 9/10 Crispy Chicken Sandwich 10/10 Chicken Tacos - comes with 3 tacos honestly I didn’t like this much because there was hardly any chicken but the taste wasn’t too bad so 7/10 This place has a nice ambiance and located in a prime location in Downtown. The burgers were so filling I literally had to get a container to bring some of it home. This place was on my list since a long time and I’m glad the experience here was nice!
Very busy and bustling, King Taps is still running the outdoor patio with heating right now. I had their pizza, which I think is their best offering, and a salad. One of the best downtown patios for lunch. Service was pretty good. Parking: In FCP and expensive but keeps you indoors.
