Story

Our family has been involved in the Quesnel music community since the early 80's.
After starting MPS-MCKILLICAN, a small production company, over the last 10 years have secured 7 music festivals in the north. We wanted to bring the festival experience to a permanent venue in our hometown. The Occidental brings live music to Quesnel.
Along with a top notch venue we also have a awesome restaurant serving up pub style classic dishes and appies along with some modern twists.

Entertainment was good. Had fun with friends. Experience with bar staff was lacking because I had to use debit which apparently was an issue. Will give it another try in fairness to the owners. Maybe my experience next time will permit a higher rating. I understand the debit policy however the way it was presented to me was pretty harsh. I am not a child so the condescending attitude was quite unnecessary.  However I still left a 25% tip.

First time in Quesnel and I took in a show of the local Foxxie Follies Burlesque troupe. The Occidental is an awesome venue for live shows, great staff, good food, and some spicy jalapeño peppers on their nachos that will set the back of your mouth on fire. 5 stars
