Great burger joint that has a wide selection of specialty burgers, plus create your own. They also have some vegetarian choices along with pulled pork, cod, and shrimp choices. I had the 1/3 lb PB&J burger bunless, served on a bed of greens, topped with bacon, smoked Gouda, thai peanut butter sauce, and a raspberry sauce. Their sauces are homemade, and taste it. The peanut butter sauce went surprisingly well with the burger and had great flavor, and was a creamy consistency. The raspberry sauce was a little sweet for me, but paired well with the peanut butter. I was hesitant about ordering, but glad I did. Very tasty. The burger was served with house made chips that were good. If you like burgers, this is a great choice of restaurant. Service was friendly and prompt. Will be back. Vegetarian options: A couple of vegetarian options are the BBB and Tongue That'd, both black bean veggie burgers. Parking: Parking is available in a front parking lot on Chisholm St and around the corner on 8th Ave.
I travel throughout Michigan for work. The Nest burgers are Top 3 in the state. Nay, Top 3 in all the lands that nibble upon a Great Lake. If you’ve got a hankering for a burger, The Nest will quench all your desires. Fact!
Do it!! The bacon wrapped jalapeños are outta this world. Wish I'd taken a photo. The burger was delightful and oh my yum, perhaps the best onion rings we'd ever had. Come here and eat if ur in Alpena!!
Small town restaurant, big time flavor. I saw reviews about the wait times for food and was even told in person. But decided to go anyway. Yes it can be aittle longer than we're used to but the food was great. Came out hot, nothing had to be sent back and it had both good taste and presentation. I opted for the chicken tenders because you can almost never go wrong with tenders. They were made in a way I had never seen with the accompanying sauce on the side, I'd say they were some of the best tenders I've ever had. The "HOO" fries were covered in garlic aioli and parmesan, I would have eaten just those by themselves. Service was polite and quick comparatively. Out waitress checked on us often and refills were prompt. The dining area was clean but. Little small but it's obviously a converted home so you can't be too picky. Plus they had back wrapped jalapeño poppers... is there really anything to complain about?

Best burgers around! I highly recommend this place! Their brussels are super good. If you have the craving for a good burger, this is the spot!
I got the 2 pc fish and fries. The fish was very good. I was Not impressed with the quantity of how much food I got for $18.00. I'm not a very big guy, I was hungry still after I left. The food was really good and the waitress was great at her job.
As a gluten intolerant person, I’m thrilled to have such a great go to. They have gluten free buns and my juicy burger is the Brie Larson. Their homemade potato chips are fabulous. Some might worry about cross contamination, but I’ve not had any problems with them. Also, for a tasty bit of spice, the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers are lovely Highly recommended
If you are in Alpena or a 50 mile radius and you have a digestive system, you need to eat here. The food is out of this world. Friendly staff, cozy environment, but the food is to the moon. I don't care if you are driving through Alpena, stop here, you might buy a house in Alpena!!!
