Our first.visit to the Hats top dining and nightspot was memorable, enjoyable, satisfying and entertaining! Our brunch was varied, exquisitely prepared by their skilled sous chef, and theme serving and presentation was Outstanding! Our server Breanna who enhanced our dining experience either her pleasant, outgoing and friendly personality. Quality checks by the owner Don well demonstrated his commitment to fast, efficient, friendly service to ensure Customer Satisfaction. 6/5 rating for what was the first of what will be MANY visits to this "Must Experience" social and dining site.
We're in The Hat for our son's wedding & just across the bridge we discovered this gem of a restaurant which also happens to be steeped in History. The 4 level building has many options. The restaurant is very comfortable with excellent service, food, beverages & seating selection. We visited twice in 4 days. Our fantastic waitress Capri took very good care of us. Friday appetizers included: Kids Margarita Pizza, Greek Bruschetta, Pork Gyoza, Calamari. Entrees: Fried Chicken Burger, Candied Salmon Salad, Seafood Gnocci, Korean Chicken Burger, Fish & Chips & the very best Montreal Beef Dip I've ever tasted! Drinks: Pitchers of White Wine Sangria & Strawberry & Cucumber Mojito, Blind Man Pale Ale Pints & Guiness. Monday Appetizers & drinks delivered by our wonderful server Tilley: Chicken Wings 3 flavors: Teriyaki, Buffalo, S&P, Pork Gyoza, Calamari, Bacon Wrapped Beef Steak Ends, Korean Popcorn Chicken, Chorizo Meatballs, Greek Bruschetta. All accompanied by 2 White Sangria Pitchers, 3 Pints Mex Blonde, 3 Pints Blind Man New England Pale Ale, 2 Caesars, 2 Honey Whiskey Sour, 2 pints Stella. Kids Pizza + OJ. Wow, what an extensive menu, delicious food & fantastic service. Also enjoyed meeting Owner Don & assistant Manager Tanielle. Lovely people. Well done We'll return, count in it
Get ready because this review speaks from the heart. Started dinner off with a bottle of Red O’Rourke that was to die for. The owner Don was sitting at the table next to us and smirked when we ordered it … it was amazing! The calamari is not the typical generic little squids and rings but in house battered and prepped with a unique dipping sauce that was delicious. Dinner was phenomenal with each plate having its own specific charm. The staff was politely put to the test by catering are endeavors of a Black forest martini and a caramel coffee martini which they nailed. The crème brûlée pumpkin spice dessert was phenomenal and we were very happy to get a tour of the speakeasy with Don thank you everyone it was amazing.
Friendly service, great room and ambience. My veggie burger was excellent. I'd like to see more interesting beers on tap, only a couple local brews and there are so many great local beers. Vegetarian options: Veggie burger was chick pea based and not beyond meat, which I like
This place has the best pictures of anything you can think of in town. My favorite is the strawberry mojito. Beautiful decor, fantastic food, I recommend the charcuterie board. Great place to visit in the summertime on the patio. I highly recommend! Sidenote Jax is a fantastic bartender!
There's a reason this place is not rated on trip advisor. Its just a trendy bar for party goers, not a restaurant. Had the cajun shrimp tacos... two tacos with tasteless soggy canned shrimp. Sunday special was $6 for a pound of wings buffalo and salt & pepper nice & plump, lightly breaded, good for price but not heated enough and cold in center. Would only go back for wing special on Sunday.
After having an amazing experience last summer with the family stopping in today was a no brainer. Today my co-parent and I decided to have some Caesars and split the Chicken and Waffles on the brunch menu and we were NOT DISAPPOINTED! Not only were the food and drinks delicious I was treated to a beautiful plate of food delivered to the table for myself. Now this might not be something that surprises most; however, everywhere we've been and split a plate I've received an empty plate while my co-parent gets a beautiful plate of food and we have to sort things out at the table. Our server Mackenzie was a total superstar!! Mad props to The Mezz for having killer staff who know how to treat their customers!! Thanks for making our brunch that much more special today. We will certainly always be back when we're in town!
Party of four, dinning for dinner. Some of us are new to the Hat some long time residents. The decor at the Mezz is beautiful. The menu selection is great. It was mid week not super busy, music abit loud. Our food ranged from good to great. The Caesar salad had more than a few pieces of wilted brown lettuce. The chicken was tasty but dry and chewy. All other plates were completely eaten with no complaints. The squash pasta looked amazing! Our server was adequate to great brought water, wine food etc. Asked if food was good.Did not offer more hot water for tea. That would have been appreciated . While on the topic, the teapots are the worst! Half the water pours on the table , just sayin! But the only smile she cracked was when handed the $25 dollar tip . It was a smidge over 20% so not sure if she was pleased or insulted. Those are the observations good and bad. Will I go again , yes.
Everything I tried is delicious! We have Calamari for Appetizers. Perfection! My 9 year old enjoy it! I have my birthday celebration there. Meatballs and spaghetti a surprised! I Have the shrimp Flatbread to die for!!
Great looking place and a really cool set up. The waitress was the best and very polite. Cool to see what they've done with an old building. I had the Montreal dip and salad. Definitely would go back again.
