Nice, friendly place.nCozy, but not too crowded even when it was full. We had breakfast, sandwiches and lattes! Everything was wonderful!nnIf Trident book store and the bread lounge had a baby it might look like this place :-n*PS the trident book store has the best lattes ever! Love trident and the bread lounge too!nnThe private bathrooms were so clean and nice I had to post a pic!
If I'm in Bedford and have to run a quick client meeting, Mellow Mug is my choice of meetup spot.nnSometimes it can get a bit tough to find a spot but mostly it's been just a bit of wait.nnThey have outdoor seating as well as some cozy sofas.
I ordered hot choco and vegan brownie. it's delicious not too sweet and the best part is the service, I don't know if the lady I'm talking to is the owner, but the lady is very nice and accomodating. She offered me if I dont like my order she will replace it.
Great first experience at the Mellow Mug... I arrived around noon and it was quite busy, with a line, BUT the staff moved it through very quickly and efficiently. It is nice and cool inside even on a hot day. Good coffee and I would recommend the scottish oatcakes - they are the crunchy kind and SUPER yummy. Though it was busy I was still able to find a place to sit and read for ~an hour. Definitely hope to come back again sometime, the scones looked delicious as did everything in the bakery case.nnUpdate 08/06/24: came around lunchtime again but was still able to get a seat. Try their soups!! The curried parsnip was so good, comes with a biscuit. The loose leaf tea selection is great too, would recommend the raspberry tea. Love the Mellow Mug!
I absolutely love the Mellow Mug. I’ve been here multiple times for both the food as well as just the coffee. They make great breakfast sandwiches and offer a variety of gluten free options both for sandwiches as well as their pastries.nThis place has been safe for celiac to date, their gf options are in a different display case as well as individually wrapped.nThe staff are friendly, quick service, there is also a drive thru!nnOnly complaint is that it’s usually always full and difficult to get a seat. Not so much a complaint as it is a sign of a successful cafe
