We had a FABULOUS time at The Medley to see the live radio play of It’s A Wonderful Life. The staff were super friendly and really at the top of their game . There was a button to push at the table to request the waiter and I found this a great way to communicate with our server. That way he didn’t have to keep checking if we needed anything and we could simply order when ready or reach out to him when we needed something. It really made the ordering process run smoothly. I read previous reviews about delays getting food during the Rocky Horror Picture Show event and from what I can understand, it was the first really big event put on by this venue so there was a steep learning curve and bumps along the way for the staff during those shows. However they definitely got the swing of things now. Even though this show had a smaller audience, which may have helped, I believe the staff really know how to make an audience feel special and they are great at their jobs. I ordered the Aloha burger and the stuffed mushrooms and everything was delicious and served hot. Portions were generous. Fries came with the burger and I enjoyed them too. A lot of the negative reviews seem to be related to the chicken dishes so I avoided those dishes on purpose. The food was brought out in a timely manner. The staff were attentive and really made us feel welcome. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about the people who work here. Even as we were leaving, a waiter who wasn’t our waiter asked us if we enjoyed our evening and we chatted for a bit and he thanked us for coming. He was busy tidying up for the next show and he wasn't our waiter, so really, he didn’t have to say anything. But he did and it solidified to me that this is a venue that prides themselves on excellent customer service and safety, and they also seek out feedback for improvement and to know what they are doing well. In terms of safety, we were very happy with the set up. Tables were spaced out, the facility was very clean, and staff wore masks. The air quality seemed great. Fresh and not at all stuffy. We had our temperatures taken and vaccine passports checked promptly at the door. They’ve done a great job putting safety first while not sacrificing a good time and good entertainment. Now for the performers. Wow. Putting on an old time radio broadcast in front of a live audience - sound effects and all - is definitely not an easy feat. But these actors didn’t miss a beat. We were mesmerized by their talent and they really did the film justice. They even sounded like the original actors from the film while infusing their own talents into their characters. I was impressed. There were many comedic moments too, like the "commercial" breaks during the brief intermissions. I would absolutely return to The Medley for dinner and a show in the future.
What a great night out! Went to see the Rocky Horror Dinner Show. Layout of the theatre was nicely spread out for social distancing, but our friends had a table one level up and we were still able to chat with them. Setup like a '60's night club with levels of tabled seating. Fantastic cast for the play, dinner was decent, staff was very friendly and service was good. I'd definitely come back!
Went here for the Rocky Horror Dinner Show. Everything from the service to the food to the actual show was perfect. Our server was kind, helped with recommendations, and added to our experience. The food was delicious, especially the stuffed mushroom caps and the beef burgundy. We sat on the balcony seats and felt that it was the best spot to get an elevated view. Major props to the cast as they did an amazing job and surpassed my expectations
Super easy to book a reservation online via open table app. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Their customer service was outstanding. Food was served timely and hot! The portion sizes were generous. Everything tasted amazing and the drinks were great too ! Awesome variety. The calamari were our favourite and the carrot cake was so rich in flavour, moist and the icing was perfection. Looking forward to our next visit when hopefully we can enjoy the indoor theatre.
Show is good, service is good, but food is mediocre. It's not horrible. Just not tasty. Knowing this, we would still choose to go to The Medley for future shows, but dine elsewhere and just meet the minimum spend for food.
Had a great time on the patio for brunch with friends. The mimosas were a nice change with tangerine juice, and the stuffed french toast was delicious. The eggs benedict came with a small salad and fresh fruit which was nice.
We had a great time at the Rocky Horror Dinner Show on Halloween night. The show was spectacular and the food was good but not great. Service was good as well. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I would recommend it.
Just saw It's a Wonderful Life radio show at The Medley. This story makes me cry every time. If you close your eyes it is easy to imagine yourself in Bedford Falls. Delicious appies, mains, desserts, and drinks! Pic of Eggplant Parm presentation was an afterthought as I was already a third into it. It was so good! Felt very safe there with well spaced tables and excellent ventilation.
Went for the Sunday 7:30pm Rock Horror show. Though I agree with most of the written reviews, my experience was quite enjoyable, possibly because there wasn't a 10:30pm show. Our server for a table of 4 was was very friendly though a bit forgetful. Food arrived on time and spaced apart adequately drinks, app, salad, main, and dessert. Food was pricey and meh. Calamari was bland and mixed in a nice salad, but made it lose its crunchiness. The cakes were not good strawberry and carrot. Looked like they used a long round pan and cut medallions as it's layer. The problem with that is the outer crust gets really hard and chewy. Flavours were just okay. The show was an incredible performance ~ the singing, choreo, crowd engagement, projectors, etc. 5 starts to stage projection.
Had a great night on the patio of the Medley - very welcoming atmosphere, delicious and well portioned dishes and drinks. We enjoyed the maple bacon burger, eggplant parm with the biggest piece of carrot cake I've ever seen. Great addition to the neighbourhood - recommended.
