This is a wonderful place to learn about Canada history and nature. Although the museum is under construction, it’s still open. The museum is huge, took us almost 2 hours to complete the tour, there is a short animated show for your kids to learn about the ocean and solar system.
Loved the museum!! The science gallery was fun and did lots of activities. The museum was pretty big you can see so many history sculptures if you wanna post story's on insta the photos here came out boom! We spend around more than 4 hours here and didn't even feel that time went so fast. If u wanna spend time with your loved ones this is the best place really loved.
A great place to spend a morning or afternoon in the city - especially when it's cold out! They're under construction right now but don't let that deter you - the museum galleries themselves are still completely accessible and even if you get turned around on the way to the box office, staff is always happy to point you in the right direction. You can also buy tickets online.nnI love the exhibits, especially the life-sized scenes, and of course the creatures!nnThe science centre in the basement is definitely much more kid-oriented than the rest of the museum but maybe adults can enjoy it too if they're still young at heart!nnIf you plan on visiting more than a couple times a year, the membership they offer is a really great deal, too.
My children loved it. Should takes around 3-4 hours to complete. Defenitely must line up for the pirate ship, the children's favorite spot!! Go a little early to avoid the afternoon crowd.
The coolest thing about this museum is by far the HMS nonsuch, to be able to actually climb aboard a historic ship like this and walk around and go inside the galley and see how the men would sleep was incredibly memorable, just remember don’t touch the ropes!
