Stayed at the Beat Western and had dinner at the Locks Perth. The night we were there we were lucky and they had a live musician playing during dinner. Really added to the ambiance of the evening. The food is delicious, service is friendly the decor is beautiful and there is a good selection of menu items. Breakfast is served in the adjacent room to the Locks. Breakfast was good as well.
Staff were WONDERFUL, but food fell VERY short. Wouldn't recommend unless you're coming for a pint and a sandwich on the patio. Otherwise, salmon was very dry and should not be paired with pureed sweet potato. The baked brie was nice, but paired with few crustinee and supplemented with regular crackers, along with nice candied walnut, but jarred tiny green olives. Again, staff were lovely!!!! But the food is not worth the price.
We had breakfast here too and it was very good. I appreciate they automatically gave ketchup with the scrambled eggs. Plus my vegetarian dish was enough for 2 people. It was amazing and i would have the vegetarian dish again.Food: 4/5
Staying at the best western. Went fir breakfast at 7:30am. Had coffee with egg breakfast 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, brown toast, home fries, and fruit garnish service was quick and efficient. Food was great!
We loved our dinner from the locks on Saturday July 23 my husband got the Atlantic Salmon, he was surprised about liking the sweet potatoe mash he's doesn't usually like sweet potatoes he was extremely happy with his meal I had a small size ceaser salad, it was delicious, but my favorite part of my meal was the Flatbread Bruschetta, it's the best bruchetta I have ever had!! We also loved that the inside dinning had AC, especially on a hot day from walking around down town, and all of the staff were super friendly, excellent customer service, the restaurant is very beautiful.
Second time here. The first time was with work last summer after we finished our job. Dining outside was superb. This time, I stayed in the simplicity of burgers & their "The Locks Smokey Bacon Cheeseburger" was one of the best, if not the best burger I ever had. I usually get steak at places like this, but when I return to this restaurant I will without a doubt!, it will be hard not to get the burger again. This burger should be famous, and that's not an exaggeration. Service was great; a delightful blonde young lady gave me my cheque and my food, which I had to wait for a little. Granted, I was early, as usual. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. I really wished that we were able to dine inside. There was only one group in the dining area since it was Good Friday. Presumably a tradition of theirs considering starting this myself!. It is beautiful inside and out, and the food they serve here is mouth watering. I've been looking for "my restaurant" ever since Heartwood in Combermere closed their doors, and I think I may have found it. Thank you, The Locks Perth. Edit: The photo doesn't do this restaurant's beauty justice. If you love extremely nice restaurants, The Locks is a must-see and must-eat!.
Really surprised that this gem was in a Best Western. This BW was amazing btw. Whole new level! Beautiful dining room with gas fireplace and wonderful Xmas decs. My bf had the chicken special with lobster sauce and wild grains rice. Amazing. I had the scallops and cauliflower bites. Perfectly done and great presentation and portions. Service was attentive and very friendly. Don't miss this spot!!!
This restaurant gives extraordinary service and delicious meals. My favourite restaurant for sure! The atmosphere is elegant with a great vibe. Thank you for the high quality service and amazing menu with great prices! I highly recommend.
My wife and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary here and they were wonderful. Unfortunately, we did have a little mishap with the reservations we made a reservation online 2 weeks before our dinner and they never had us on the list even after confirming the night before but they made it work. The food was delicious and the staff and entertainment were very pleasant. I will say, I was very disappointed when I saw that the beef was all Alberta beef. We have enough local beef suppliers to support their need. They should strongly consider adding at least some locally supported options to the menu apart from their beers.
Great ambiance, excellent food, good selection food and drink, great menu with price ranges for all, friendly, attentive, helpful staff. The vibe of this place is great. The waterfall garden at the entrance is a very nice touch. Classy place without a classy price.
