The Lobster House

Never disappoints. Although not coastal seafood...Which Impossible...Great service. Been going since they opened. Food is great. I Wish were closer to everywhere. North Country Staple. And damn good lobster for inland. Rolls although simple are great with a beer while a chat. First time back in area years and could not wait to stop. I will certainly continue to. And recommend.

Bar prices are great. Can have lunch menu all day at the bar which is great. Wished it closed later than nine thirty but I understand. Lunch food pretty solid except seafood things only so so (bland and not creative). All soups are salty except the lobster bisque. But will be regular.

I generally go there for either their steaks or prime rib both of which are very good.The baked potato is always good sized and cooked just right. The cheese biscuits and the salads are a great accompaniment. I give it 4 to 5 stars.

We made reservations for 6pm on a Saturday and we're glad we did. The parking lot was packed as was the restaurant! We we're seated immediately. Despite being friendly, the service was super slow. After we finished our first round of drinks (which was merely pop), after taking our glasses she came back 5 minutes later asking if we wanted refills. One can assume that would have been the question to ask when she took our glasses.hmm. Anyway, we had calamari for an appetizer. It was a small portion but it was actually pretty good. For dinner I had the lobster alfredo /coconut shrimp dish with steamed veggies. The Alfredo was not that great, it had no taste. The coconut shrimp was good though! Hubby had chicken Alfredo/shrimp scampi and he didn't care for either. We skipped dessert because they were out of carrot cake. It was also insanely hot in the restaurant so we decided to leave. From start to finish we were in the restaurant nearly 2 hours! Granted, it was busy...but two hours is a long time. Our bill for two was about $52 before tip. I don't foresee going back anytime soon.

Delicious food and beautiful decor. The bartender when I was there was very kind and gave good drink recommendations. The waitress was kind and patient and knew what she was doing. I enjoyed the food I ordered and found the paintings, of which there were many on the walla, nice to look at, some were absolutely beautiful.
