My first lobstah roll ever and it was great. Tender meat, perfectly toasted and lightly seasoned bun, and PERFECT hand cut French fries.
This was right at 11 when the opened. I was there first but in the 5 mins I waited two more cars pulled up. To say this little food truck is popular is a understated. The menu is very diverse from the wonderful maine lobster rolls to fried clams, scallops and even burgers. The fries are cut fresh and are fried to perfection. This food truck is awesome and well worth dropping by for a great lunch.
So, I've been to Maine many times, and we flew in hours before this place opened. Judging by the pictures and reviews, we decided to try it out. It was perfect. Sometimes, you get a bun that's too thin or too thick, lobster that's undercooked or overcooked, too heavily seasoned or one that'll soak the bread. Again, perfect. Quick, easy, fairly priced... I just ate and I'm planning on going back. This is a fantastic lobster roll. I also heard their crab roll is great, and even their burgers from people waiting. I don't think I'll try the others this trip, but the lobster, again, was perfect. Edit: came back a few hours later and had to grab one more. Only took about 5 minutes and there were people waiting for their food as well. It's not just claw meat in there either, almost half was tail. 10/10, great lobster, nice people and will be back for sure.
Lobster roll was small, tasteless, no toasted butter on Hotdog size bun, small coleslaw 3 ounces....$26.99 too much for that for sure!!! Rude cook, told me he didn't have time to explain small portions...
Super tasty and fresh rolls including lobster and crab. Chill atmosphere with some music and people just eating at their cars. They did close up a little before 1 pm when they ran out of fresh lobster.
So I went to 10 different places for lobster rolls during my trip and this place was my 2nd favorite. From Portland to barharbor and my first stop in Maine was the 2nd best. It was so good I stopped to pick it up right before my flight out. Highly recommend.
Plenty parking here the place is a food shack in the parking lot of a movie theater. it is a pretty laid back eating experience. The shack is right next door from the Fairfield hotel so it is within walking distance, but keep in mind that they close at 6pm and also if they run out of lobster u will be out of luck for the day, they do have lines sporadically so chances are high that they will run out of lobster. They have picnic tables outside so we can eat right there, the staff is super nice and they also take credit cards which is super convenient The menu is posted right next to the ordering window, and seems like most if not all meals cone with fries, a pickle and coleslaw. They oddly only give a couple of napkins and that was annoying to me, once you order at the window they call u by the name when it is ready and the meal comes in a to go style in a bag with plastic utensils and ketchup, but the one or two napkins was not something I loved. MOXIE- this is a soda made only here, I got it to try and I did not like it at all, if you are a fan of root beer then this is a soda for you, but for me it was not a match QUARTER POUDER LOBSTER ROLL- only one roll with a very straightforward name, the side of fries needed a bit more salt and the lobster was a bit too blend too for my taste, but that is just me. I loved the size of the pieces of lobster though. the roll was nice and buttery too. CRAB ROLL- came back for dinner and they were out of lobster so I got the crab roll, well it does not compare to the lobster, the crab was a little dry and very blend, needed a lot of salt for sure. I would not recommend eating the crab here. In summary, this is a nice place to visit and try if you are around as the prices are a little more affordable than a restaurant in the area and you will still get that Maine lobster. I did learn here that the lobster in Maine is not cheaper compared to other states but easier to find for sure. The only negatives in my opinion were the napkins availability and the salt should be also available, but beyond that this was a good place.
Came to Bangor on a rainy day for a movie and am so glad we stopped here. We had been disappointed by all the food we had tried thus far on vacation including Maine’s staple - the lobster roll. This place did not disappoint! The bread to lobstah ratio was perfect. It was well cooked and well seasoned. Not to mention delicious and perfectly cooked HANDCUT FRIES!
My lobster roll was so perfect. The fries soooooo good. I actually loved the coleslaw I normally hate it but I gave it a chance. Prices were on par, staff was super friendly and I got my food fast. I will be back soon!!!!!
We loved our lobster rolls and coleslaw. Nicely prepared with 3 size options. Friendly staff. 2 picnic tables with umbrellas but we sat on the grass as more shaded as hot day. Across from Cinemas in same parking lot. We recommend!
