The staff: amazing. The view: spectacular. The accommodations: worth every penny. The staff was so generous and helpful we came at a very slow cold weekend just for a short get away and our room was complimentary upgraded due to the kind manager Brandon. We loved everything about this hotel. It was clean, stunning and all around a lovely vacation for me and my partner. Will recommend to any friends and will be back. Thank you Pfister staff for a memorable trip!
We are really enjoying our stay here. Lots of beautiful original finishes and decor you won't find many places. The staff pays attention to the details and offer services that are not as common elsewhere an actual concierge, bellhops, uniformed valets. Rooms and the common areas are very clean, which is tough with all the ornate items around. They also have an extensive collection of Victorian art throughout the hotel. The views of the city from the pool on the 23rd floor are fantastic. Our room was in the "historic" section with beautiful finishes and was quiet and comfortable. We'll definitely be staying here the next time we're in MKE.
Wife wanted a quick 3 day getaway that's near home. Milwaukee fit the bill. Staying at the Fabulous Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee. It definitely has a Victorian vibe and charm. Our room is very spacious, comfortable and quiet. First night we ordered room service for late night dessert, carrot cake for her and chocolate cake for me. Yum-o to both cakes!
This was tough - I went in with all good expectations. On the positive side, the location downtown is great. The exterior is original, or it looked that way to me; I do love old buildings. Inside the lobby was elegant, maybe a bit too elegant; dark, and I did like how the bar was set up - basically as part of the lobby, so you can check out all the comings and goings. The bad? I went a step up on a 200.00 room; and was disappointed to see how cramped it was. There weren't any ghosts but the first time I flushed toilet I nearly jumped out of my skin - super loud. The worse part was the bed. Didn't get any sleep, felt as if I were sleeping an a mattress stuffed with bath towels. Very uncomfortable. Finally, and maybe I missed it, there was no coffee in the lobby - because believe me, I needed it that next morning.
We booked a couple night stay for a little trip before our baby was born. The rooms are nice, nothing crazy, but the service was awesome. Our room got really hot, and the concierge told us that engineering would be there immediately. Sure enough, minutes after the phone call ended, Harold showed up! He was knowledgeable, kind, and efficient. The cafe was also very nice—good food and great service!
What a great place to celebrate an anniversary, very romantic views from our room, great service, anything you need is a call away. I even made myself a little Croissant sandwich when I got home with a homemade Croissant from the Cafe. I do feel you are paying for the experience more than the actual room itself, just an opinion. But the vibes in the lobby and lounge are immaculate! Thanks for a great weekend!
I was absolutely blown away by my experience at The Pfister! The staff were warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The hotel is exquisite. I have never stayed in a cleaner room every nook and cranny was spotless. Nothing was overlooked and we had a view of lake Michigan from our suite.Rooms: 5/5
Brian was our bellhop, and what a guy! Right from the start, he welcomed us for our girl's weekend with open arms and humor and the most genuine smile! Everyone from valet, bartenders, and servers, housekeeping, front desk, security, cafe staff, I mean everyone, was wonderful. I can get a hotel room anywhere, it's the staff that makes a place a home away from home and this staff makes The Pfister, exactly that. Thanks for hosting our rowdy group with grace!
It's a historic hotel. Nice to see and visit. Atrium is nice. Our room actually had two adjoining rooms... one on each side. I would inquire as to whether or not that's not possible in the future if that is a concern of yours. It was quiet. And the beds were comfortable. The bathroom had an updated class feeling to it. In line with the style and architecture of the hotel. Spent some time down in the lobby at the bar area. There are some nice Lounge areas that can be intimate and private. The service was fine, and the drinks were good. Although the parking was a little funky once you check in it was manageable. You stay inside the property once you park.
We stayed here because we drove 2.5 hours for a wedding that was held in this hotel. For the price of this hotel we could have stayed 5 min away and would have been closer to more things to do. The rooms are very small and not clean. We also found a MOUTHPIECE night guard under the bed!!! Our son was with us. He is over 6'6" He did not fit on the "QUEEN SIZE" bed. It was more like a full size. This hotel was a disappointment. The concierge and front desk staff were very polite and helpful. The cleaning staff needs to be re-trained.
