We had a great first experience here. It seems like a great atmosphere. Food was very good. We enjoyed the jalapeño poppers. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was so good. Love that it was served with a cheese sauce. My wife's Steak & Guinnes Stew was also excellent. The meat was very tender, and the gravy was perfect. We truly loved the food and can't wait to go back to try more. Service was fine, efficient, just not stand out.
Food & drinks were fantastic! I tried the Blue Hawaiian cocktail. Yummy! Loaf Spuds for our appetizer. Wonderful! So filling, we decided to get dessert and take our mains home. Lol. Sticky Toffee Cake was amazing! Took home the Ultimate burger & Chicken Caesar wrap. Out of this world!! Will definitely be back! So many things on the menu we MUST try! Service was excellent! Very friendly and prompt! I forgot to get her name, but she was wearing a kilt! May 6th, 7:30 She was awesome!

My husband and I stopped here on our way back from Kingston. He had popped in before, but only for a brew. It was midweek and after noon, and the place was not too busy. We decided to sit at a booth near the bar. Service was prompt, and recommendations provided for the extensive local brews on the beer menu. I ordered a steak sandwich with salad, and my husband a Reuben. The food arrived in good time, and I have to say that my steak sandwich exceeded all expectations. The steak seemed to be a striploin the menu did not specify, and was a perfectly cooked rare, as I had requested. It was tender, juicy and lip-smackingly good! My husband was also impresses by his Reuben, and the fries were excellent. I believe the steak sandwich on a ciabatta bun! was on a seasonal menu, so you should run in and get yourself one immediately.nnAs for the pub ambience--in Canada, pubs struggle with this, veering too far towards sports bar in my estimation. TVs over the bar are not my thing. To be sure, there was a seating area that seemed not to have screens, but it was more restaurant than pub-like. Good pubs are cozy and personal. You should almost feel like you have just dropped in at your friends around the corner. Comfort is key in ensuring that people stay longer and spend more money. Decor is key in this regard. However, it was clean and the bathrooms were good. So we will definitely go there again for food.
Lovely place with lovely staff. On the night we were there, a lady was playing music and had a voice that spoke to me. My food was great but if you are ordering the beef and Guinness pie, do make sure you explicitly ask for the Yorkshire bowl if you want it. The person with whom I was' came without, and by the time he got it, he had already eaten his dish, and the Yorkshire arrived cold. In fairness however, it was a rather busy night.
