I picked the Landing for our family trip based on the reviews and research I did for over a month. The landing is FAR from a 5 star hotel. The room I booked was supposed to have a lake view. Upon arrival I asked if it would be a lake view and I was told they where fully booked and my booking did not guarantee a lake view. I would have NEVER booked this place at over 1000$ a night had I known this would be the case. The ladies at the front where extremely rude when I asked a question in regards to the room. All my questions were immediately proceeded with a no answer from the lady sitting adjacent to the one checking me in. We felt immediately unwelcome from the moment we walked in. And forget about a glass of champagne upon arrival….. that must be offered based on who they choose. The restaurant food is good but extremely understaffed so we had to wait over an hour for dinner. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. This is a 3 star at the most with dirty carpet and patched ceilings in the bathroom that look like they have black mold growing. I wish I could give a better review but unfortunately I can’t.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Landing! The resort was cozy with amazing views of Lake Tahoe. We stayed in a Lakeview room highly recommend, and we loved the in-room fireplace, heated toilet seat, and heated bathroom floors. During our stay, we dined at Jimmy’s and enjoyed a couples massage at the spa. Both amenities really elevated our stay, and the hospitality and service were top notch! The highlight during our stay was definitely the staff! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with great customer service. The concierge, shuttle drivers, and bar staff were all so welcoming and were happy to give their suggestions for our trip that went above and beyond what we’ve seen from other resorts. We will definitely be staying at The Landing again!
We found the Landing because it was the only "5-star" resort in Lake Tahoe, and I was looking for something special for my fiance. Actually, before I start this review I'd like to explain why I put 5 stars in quotes. Simply put, many hotels claim to be 4 or 5 stars, but when it comes to details, location, customer service, amenities, and true luxury, they fall very short. So with that said please understand The Landing is a TRUE 5-star experience. From the moment we walked in we were treated like we were special, our bags taken and put away, welcomed with an incredible scent, smile, and drink. It was exactly what we wanted after a long flight. Our room was not only extremely comfortable and well furnished, it just felt expensive and what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. The bathroom cut ZERO corners as it was nicer than any hotel or house bathroom I've ever been in as the piano tile floors were preheated to 85 degrees and the toilet seat was also preheated! I can not explain what a treat this was. My fiance and I said "wow" probably 500 times just putting our toiletries away. Now onto the rest of the hotel views, restaurant, gym, pool, location, staff. The hotel is literally right in front of the beach. You wake up to the sun lighting up the mountains and it took our breath away. We also ended up eating at the restaurant every night which is extremely unlike us. Normally my fiance and I like to venture outside the hotel and see whats around but the food at Jimmy's wasn't just "good for a hotel", or "good for a 5 star hotel" it was Fantastic and I would put it up with some of the best restaurants I've been to, period. The gym and pool/ hot tub are clean, and more than what you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. Lastly, and most importantly, what makes this place so special, and why I've already booked my next trip, the people who work here are next level. I left feeling like I had friends for life. They're caring, kind, obviously hospitable, and now I feel like I have a real connection to a place I love. From the front desk to the bartenders to the GM and everyone in between. Thank you Okay I think I said enough. Just book your stay if you read all of this.
Needed AC and this hotel delivered! Central AC saved us during intense smoke. Great location. Comfortable beds. Free shuttle within 2 mile range. Onsite restaurant opens at 7:00 with great coffee/views. Helpful staff. Great pool.Rooms: 5/5
4.7/ 5 My husband and I are just visiting Tahoe for the Christmas, and we could not have booked a better hotel than The Landing Tahoes Resort! We had booked the King Lake View room initially but noticed some issue in the room when we checked in. The lady on the front desk was kind enough to upgrade us to a bigger room because the issue could not be fixed during the time of our stay. The front desk folks were very friendly and helpful, and we especially enjoyed the complimentary shuttle ride to the Heavenly Gondola and back to the hotel too. The room itself is very open but the best things were the heated bathroom floors, fireplace and the huge balcony with a very scenic view of the lake. Access to the beach in the front was included as well. There were only 2 things I would probably complain about, which would be be no microwave in the room and no complimentary breakfast. There are cheaper hotels that include both, but not saying that I would rather stay there as the rooms here at Landing resort were unbeatable for sure! Definitely staying here next time as well!
Great location, right on the water. the sunsets are beautiful, we recommend you get a lake view room if available. The beds are huge and comfortable, bathrooms have heated floors and heated toilet seats too! Free shuttle to several close restaurants and shopping will help you save money on Ubers or taxis.Rooms: 5/5
We had a great experience at the landing. The view was beautiful and the service terrific. We had a great breakfast at jimmy’s and we also loved how big and hot the hot tub was!

Very nice spa with all the amenities. Steam room shower and hotel jacuzzi/pool included with spa booking - no need to stay at the resort. Ask for Greta.
The hotel made our stay in Heavenly! The rooms were amazing. Our room was one of my favorite hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. Heated floors, jet bathtub, gas fireplace, and beautiful views from the balcony were the highlights! Ken’s staff went above and beyond everyday to make the experience really special. Our shuttle drivers, Kevin and Elliot, utilized their knowledge of the area to send us to the best places to eat and hang out at night. The shuttles were really nice and clean and they took us to the mountain every day in style. Hot tub, pool, and workout room with Peloton bikes were top of the line. The sunsets at night from the park behind the hotel with a spectacular view of the lake were incredible. Overall, it was truly an elevated experience and we are definitely returning to The Landing.
