The New Minas Head Shoppe opened in 1987. We are located on Commercial Street in New Minas Court across the street from the Atlantic Superstore. We are a full service hair salon offering both Hair and Esthetic services. Specializing in Redken haircare, Dermalogica skin care products, and OPI nail care.

As four females of a wedding party, we booked appointments to have our hair washed and styled.  First thing I noticed was there aren't nearly enough sinks for the number of chairs in the salon. We were on somewhat of a time crunch, (which was made known when the appointment was booked) and time was wasted waiting for a sink. 
Some of the staff seemed friendly enough, but some were rather haughty.
But none of them seemed to know how to curl hair. Three of us had to specifically ask to have the curl going away from our faces, only for it not to happen  anyway. The bride asked for her hair to be curled, and a half of it put up. All the stylist did was pin a bit on the right side back. It's like none of them could be bothered to put an effort into the task at hand. We all agreed that we felt like we were an imposition. One of our group had a stylist who had another client on the go, and got to a point where she wasn't working with us anymore. Luckily another stylist stepped in to finish our girl up so we could be on our way. All around a very frustrating experience. 
 And upon returning home, we all fixed our hair. 
Needless to say, we won't be returning.

The receptionists could be more cheerful but my stylist, Karley was really friendly & did a great job cutting & styling my hair

Multiple bad experiences. Was overcharged twice, twice had color screwed up - one of those times required an over $300 fix,  and found a couple of the stylists unfriendly and stuck up. Wouldn't recommend to anyone!

Had amazing service ; kind, polite,and helpful as well as a sweet ,knowledgeable hair stylist (Karley) who achieved exactly what I wanted with my hair ,highly recommend her and this staff 👯💇☺
