The Lancer

I had a nice time here a couple weeks ago. The milkshakes are SO GOOD! I had the vanilla, they give you the entire mixing cup! I had a half order of pancakes with bacon, the pancakes were okay. Very thick. The portions are great! Both the milkshake and pancakes were enough for two people to share. I would probably come back to try the lunch menu next time.

The Lancer is a little family restaurant that offers a variety of breakfast and lunch items. The one that stood out to me the most was the recovery meal which includes a Gatorade for when you’re hungover. I love that. The food was good and the portions were good but the one problem I had was the weird cheese like seasoning on the home-fries. I honestly think they would have been better without the seasoning. It doesn’t pair well and just overpowers the rest of the plate. Maybe offer it on the side or keep some on the table as an option.

Just ordered from here through Door Dash. By far the most disgusting breakfast I have ever seen. I don't know why they cut up their nasty bacon, but it appears as if they are leftovers from other people's breakfasts. Their hollandaise sauce tastes like nothing and potatoes are stale. Not to mention how tiny the portion is, or the poor presentation. I'm furious.

Great little breakfast place. My boyfriend and I go here for breakfast sometimes. The one time we went later in after noon we had a cranky older lady with blonde hair server who also charged us for a soup we got that tasted off with wierd chunks and was cold.. I sent it back as soon as we got it. The woman in the morning is amazing! Breakfast is great, love the homefries and omelettes are great! Good portions!

Don’t even think they deserve one star but can’t give less! Came there for breakfast today. Extremely disappointed. Half our order was missed not sure if kitchen or server error. But regardless the remake didn’t come out in any kind of hurry. It in fact took so long the person who ordered had to leave. The food we did get didn’t come out right. Bacon looked raw and home fries weren’t well done. She took that back and had it remade, came out better but still not good. Bacon was a little more cooked at least edible. Toast was basically warm bread, soggy so egg wasn’t drained well, almost no hollandaise. Still the missed order wasn’t ready. So we sent back one persons food and had it remade and brought out and the first order still wasn’t out. In fact the first meal was eaten and the forgotten meal still wasn’t out. We had ordered chocolate milk that wasn’t brought out until we finally asked if it was coming, since she obviously wasn’t getting food and had to leave she needed something And then to top it off we get the bill and you charge $1 for an extra plate. I couldn’t believe you charge a sharing fee. I haven’t seen a restaurant charge that in a long long time. Absolutely terrible. Awful service. Awful food. We hadn’t been in a while because the last time we weren’t super happy, this used to be our favourite breakfast place. I wouldn’t recommend you to anyone ever again and I can’t think I would ever go back. I know customer service has gone down hill all around but you took the cake today.

Hadn’t been here since I was a child. My Gram used to take us here for breakfast and brunches. A little far from home for me now, but was thinking about her today so made the trek over. Fantastic flavour. Have you ever had a tasteless breakfast? Rubber eggs, tasteless toast and home fries you don’t even finish because they suck? My peameal bacon was phenomenal. Darkened off the skillet perfectly and you can taste the flavour. High quality rye bread and good portion, tasty home fries and eggs even tasted fresh and good. Great place to have a great breakfast thanks for staying open all these years and maintaining affordable prices too.

The waitress was pleasant but not very good. The food was average. The prices were a bit high but overall a nice breakfast. To their credit, the owner obviously cares because they responded quickly and respectfully to my review. Earned an extra star as far as I'm concerned!

Good little breakfast spot. Prices are still pretty good. Food was good. I stopped going to this place years ago as I found some of the servers really rude. We decided to try again and definitely an improvement but still not where you would expect. Overall happy I tried it again

Came in for breakfast this morning, it was great. The prices are very fair & the size of our meals were good! They’ve done several updates as well which made the overall experience even better.

What a fantastic spot for a traditional Sunday breakfast! Place was spotless, everyone was super friendly, and the sun was shining perfectly on the booths. Doesn’t hurt that the food was unreal as well; will be back for sure.
