The staff at Kit and Kaboodle were outstanding! I visited their store in search of quirky dresses for an upcoming photo shoot and they were so helpful and attentive. It wasn’t the dresses that made me feel beautiful, it was the kind hearts from everyone working there. The clothes were impeccable and the service was spectacular! Check out all of their stores. You will be amazed!

Great thrift/consignment store with a nice and very well curated selection to browse. I've found lots of good things in here over the years. Easy parking and definetly worth a stop in.

My favourite clothing store! Visiting this store has become part of our family tradition - my aunt comes to town to visit my mom, and I come from Victoria, and for now the second year in a row we stop here and never leave empty handed! Staff are incredibly friendly they even recognized a dress I wore that I purchased from them last year! This is a MUST VISIT in Parksville!!

The staff work very hard to make sure that it's a unique experience shopping every time. With 3 stores one could easily spend hours perusing all the treasures! The clothing clearly meets a high standard but surprisingly well priced. I would highly recommend checking out Kit and Kaboodle! Well done staff and management!

Just prior to writing my farewell to Kelly, I read and would like to respond to the very critical review written earlier this month. I can only say that my experience in shopping in the three stores is completely opposite of the writer’s and if I could give this company more than 5 stars, I would. There are not many businesses I walk into where I am greeted by a hello and my name. As for atmosphere, I’ve caught myself singing along all be it quietly with the manager who almost always chimes in with the great music in the store. If that’s unhealthy and toxic, I’ll take it! It’s been a tough go for all over the past few years but I have to say I’ve always left the store feeling better than when I went in and when I found just that perfect outfit or treasure it made my day. Just plain fun. I don’t understand the comment about high employee turnover. I have been dropping by the three stores since 2019 and the same friendly faces have always greeted me. Agree that maybe a few faces came and went but that is not unusual with any business. Especially if they are students who typically come and go as schedules dictate. Lastly I will say that the owner came across to me as a savvy business woman. Always professional, always polite and clearly good at what she does.

Think twice before choosing this abhorrent business to consign your items! On the surface the store may appear decent, however in my opinion this is a classic case of “lipstick on a pig”. Take it from a former customer/consignor who has dealt with this business long enough to both witness, and experience first hand some very uncomfortable and off-putting practices and behaviours. Discriminatory policies. Disrespectful staff. In my dealings with the owner I have found her to be exceedingly rude, condescending, dismissive, and unprofessional. I would literally avoid going into the store on the days when she was there, because I was so uncomfortable in her presence. Though they lost me as a shopper many years ago, I begrudgingly continued utilizing the consignment services in order to supplement my income, as there were no other options locally at the time. As the saying goes, the fish stinks from the head down, and this business is no exception. The obviously high employee turn over rate, which has remained consistent since 2013 when I first became a customer, leaves me questioning whether the work environment is a healthy one. Often times the overall energy in the store, and the attitudes of the staff and owner felt quite heavy, even toxic. Because of this I kept my visits infrequent, and only went in to drop off items, and collect the credit on my account. This was not at all a favourable environment in which to spend my time, or money. Oh, and brace yourself for their scent vetting process, which is taken to comical heights, as the sniff testers feverishly smell their way through all your belongings to ensure there is zero scent. I understand the reasoning for the policy, but the way it's executed, and the fact that it's done in front of other customers feels rather awkward, and demeaning. There are finally other, more dignified and pleasant consignment store options in the community. Very glad to have moved on to a business that values, and respects customers the way a good business should. Note: Those reading this should know that the owner of this business emailed me, threatening to sue me over this "review". I have since removed her name from the body of text, and modified the wording, while still staying true to my personal experiences, and opinions about this business. Have looked all over the central island for a mother-of-the-groom dress and Iona plucked THE dress off the rack for me - one I would never have considered without her help! Love it and will definitely return! Great staff too - lots of fun!

I've been shopping at all the locations of Kit and Kaboodle for years! I love their selection, how dedicated to quality they are & how knowledgeable, friendly & warm the staff are. They're very kind about the items I come in with & when I ask, will take the time to educated me on the items that don't make the cut. Which I find super helpful! I feel like the staff have had their eyes on every single item that comes through the store. So when I come in looking for something really specific, or even mention something - they know exactly what to pull out for me to see. On top of that - even when I'm not looking for anything, I find gorgeous items that become staples in my wardrobe. I also love how the locations are organized in a tiered system for quality brands. Hands down - my favorite business to shop & consign with.

My granddaughter and her friend were shopping with me and we had such a fun day. All three stores gave us great personal service. I felt they knew their product well and gave us great choices and advice. Thank you ladies for love and laughter.
