This is a great choice for steak at any of the Keg restaurants. If you're not familiar with the Keg, it is on par with Ruth's Chris and Mortons. This one lived up to the name. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you have a pleasant dining experience.nnThe steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The cauliflower rice was a nice, healthy addition, and the blue cheese topping added a tasty twist that made the meal even more enjoyable.nnOverall, it's a solid spot for a nice steak dinner, with good food and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit!
The service is impeccable. The staff were awesome. Friendly, engaging, checking in just the right amount. They were quick to refill drinks.nThe steaks were done to perfection.nNot one complaint.nOverall, a 5 star experience.
A Carnivore's Paradise and a Potential Food Coma Inducer**nnThe Keg isn't just a steakhouse; it's a carnivore's Disneyland! The steaks are so juicy and flavorful, they'll have you moo-ving to the beat of your own drum. And the portions? Let's just say, they're so generous, you might need a forklift to finish your plate.nnJust a friendly tip: Avoid the bar seats next to the dishwashing station. It's intrusive eating your dinner in front of the station where staff works 2 feet away, and trust me, the awkwardness is palpable.nnSo, if you're ready to indulge in a meaty masterpiece and potentially induce a food coma, The Keg is the place to be. Just remember to wear your stretchy pants and maybe a blindfold for the walk to the bathroom.
I have been going to the Keg since the 70s but in Prince George since the mid 80's. This place is a bit pricy but you get what you pay for. I have never had a bad meal here, and I have had many memorable food experiences here. The Steaks and Prime Rib are excellent, I miss the big salad bar they once had and the big wine karaffes of frozen daiquiries. They once served oysters Rockefeller, which were my all-time favorite. There is almost nothing on the menu I don't like, and the appies and desserts are outstanding as well, especially the Billy Miner Pie and the Cherry Cheese Cake. Also, check out the limited time specials they have on various seasonal items like fish and seafood. The most memorable thing I ate here was a perfectly grilled chunk of honey miso glazed sable fish. Wow, it was incredible. If you have a special occasion or want to impress your wife or girlfriend, this might be the place to go. The service is good, though sometimes they put a bit of priority on the alcohol, and drinks can really rack up the bill if you don't watch. Trust me when I say this. So if you go here I am sure you will have a good time.
Great as always. Emily was very attentive and sweet with very professional service. Good was as consistent as you'd expect for the Keg. My only complaint would be the onions in the mushroom rice which is my favorite were very over cooked and there was almost more onion than rice. But the lobster was fantastic and the veggies were perfectly al dante. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Clearly we were too hungry, I forgot to take pics until we were half done the sourdough and scallops and bacon. We ordered the 6oz sirloin and lobster and the lobster tail dinner as well. Thank again.
