Restaurant was closed and the place was a little run down.  They did not come and clean after the first night.  Didn't matter too much to us because we used for just a place to crash for the fish charter boat.  So wasn't horrible but could use some upgrading and have the restaurant and bar open.  The pics on the website is not how it looks now.

The Islander was an awesome experience. It's an old hotel with a scenic view and vintage charm. The owner is a wonderfully kind person who is trying their best to make improvements on the building. The beach and town availability from this establishment is perfect. You can even take a quick drive or leisurely stroll to the beach to watch the sunset. Also, you've got to try the Fantastic Fries at the fish shack just a short walk away. Highly suggested!

It's nuts to me that so many people are panning this place in their reviews. This is a charter fishing trip hotel in Westport, WA. It's NOT supposed to be the Ritz Carlton. I've been staying here off and on since I was a teen, and it's everything you'd want a hotel in a fishing town to be. Good bed, good location, good amenities. If you aren't rating the hotel relative to what Wesport is, then you should not even BE in Westport. Why is it some people want everything to be the Clarion Inn?

First thing as I arrived in the lot I saw a dirty diaper on the ground kinda gross. Room was OK ocean view but it would have been nice if someone would have cleaned the windows in the last five years. Garbage cans overflowing under the main staircase leading upstairs. No wifi. Restaurant and lounge closed. When I asked why they said the bartender and cook were fired. My buddy also had a reservation he booked and paid for several months back. The reservation was lost. The Islander paid for a room at another hotel but are party was broken up. It kinda sucked. I guess if you can't find any other place to stay it will work in a pinch.

My whole review is based on how bad the mattress was. Water pressure was weak. Location and customer service was good.
