The Holy Donut

Fun experience with a different-than-usual donuts. Loved the seasonal selections of sweet potato, pumpkin type donuts and lattes. Awesome, hearty textured donuts with subtle but fantastic flavors. Lattes were not overly heavy or too sweet...well made and easy to drink.

Admittedly it's been years since I've been to The Holy Donut, but I think of them often and drool over their social media regularly! Every donut we tried was so, so good and the people were super friendly! And of course the experience of trying potato donuts is something unique in itself! It was all around a great experience and I can't wait to return when we're passing through the area again!

The donuts are amazing. But their hours are incredibly idiotic. Not much parking drive-through was closed. I would give them one star for the donuts very good even though they cost as much as a lobster6:00am-4:00pm. My mom came to visit me this weekend along with my nana and we got to stop by here. It was a very cute set up. The donuts were delicious and they even had vegan options for my mom! The flavors were very different but really good : We tried the triple berry, toasted coconut, maple, and fresh lemon! We will definitely will be going back.

Loved the donuts here.. I especially loved how they were crunchy but not greasy.. we tried the berry cannoli, dark chicken sea salt, maple bacon and coffee cake. We liked them all except the coffee cake which was too cinnamon-y for us..

I enjoyed the donuts overall ! I tried 3 different ones and if I didn’t know they were made with potatoes I couldn’t tell. I enjoyed the taste of the vanilla better than the original one but the original is still quite good.

A huge fan of Holy Donut! You really can't go wrong with your donut selection. The chocolate sea salt here is their best year-round donut, hands down. While best eaten fresh, the chocolate sea salt also stays pretty fresh stored in a container until the following day. Definitely try their seasonal donuts! The apple caramel flavor was so, so good. I can't wait to go back and try one of their other fall flavors. This was my first time at this location and do plan ahead to go before 9 am! Also, use their drive-thru since they seem to have more staff dedicated for the drive-thru rather than the in-store purchases.

Holy moly! These donuts are a must try! The staff is friendly and took their time to tell me their best sellers as we are from out of town. We tried the chai glazed delicious! and a pumpkin glazed yummy If you are traveling to Maine, stop by any of their locations.

If you like cake donuts, definitely try these! They’re soft and tasty, not at all heavy and dense like a lot of cake donuts I’ve tried. A fantastic example of a good cake donut. If you are looking for a yeasty donut, then you won’t find them here. But still worth a try just to say you’ve had a potato donut! And pretty good flavors too. Definitely one of those must try places if you’re visiting Maine.

The service was fast and friendly and the store was clean. The donuts were delicious. I highly recommend the bacon maple and blueberry donuts.
