The Helm is amazing and one of my favourite clothing stores anywhere. They have a fantastic selection of essential menswear items and they always have some unique pieces and brands to keep things interesting. Whether you’re looking for classic menswear or something a little edgier, The Helm has it. Their customer service is fantastic also. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Over my 10 years of shopping there Alana has been my go to person and I can’t recommend her enough - she knows the products but more importantly she knows which products will work for me and she will know which products will work for you!
Been shopping at The Helm since they opened 10 years ago. Great local clothier who has a broad range of clothes and shoes. Everything from casual wear to made to measure suits and shirts. Ive had Alana make me many custom suits and shirts and have always been pleased with the end product. She is open to anything you want to have made and takes the time to figure out what you're looking for. If you're looking for a great local business to support, that provides exceptional customer service, stop by The Helm's new location.
I've been shopping at The Helm since their original location opened on 104st, and I've had the pleasure of purchasing a variety of suits, sport coats, shoes, and casuals for nearly every important event in my life at this shop. Chad and his team curate an impressive collection of products from storied menswear brands that exude sophistication and thoughtfulness. The team at The Helm have a deep understanding for textiles, proportions, and color, and the team has gone the extra mile to make alterations in time for events. The Helm has designed one of the most welcoming and beautiful retail spaces in Canada and provides client service in a different stratosphere than other H-named menswear retailers. Supporting local retailers is important to me, and I hope it will be a consideration for you too.
I have been shopping at The Helm for the past seven years. This is by far the best men's clothing store in Edmonton. Not just because of their great selection of menswear, but more so due to the high level of customer service provided. Zach goes above and beyond, from providing curated clothing lists for me to review, to reaching out to my spouse for holiday/birthday ideas, or pushing me to try on clothing that would previously have been outside of my comfort zone. I cannot say enough great things about the team at The Helm and would strongly recommend them.
Shopping at The Helm is always a great experience. Excellent clothing lines with the best selection in Edmonton. Classy new digs makes the shopping experience even better. I love the sales guys too. So nice to see that Glenn has moved in!
If you’re looking for the perfect place to update your wardrobe, or improve your style, look no further. I was introduced to the team Alana, Zach and Chad approximately 4 years ago. I used to shop at all the usual places, and would constantly be frustrated by a lack of quality and the personal touch. I was a fashion disaster, but after I arrived at The Helm we completely transformed my style, and I’ve never looked back. They understand my needs, my budget, and the style I demand. They have so many quality items arriving constantly, and can often order specific items to meet your needs. Alana and Zach have personally attended to me, but their entire team is top quality. You will not regret giving them a moment of your time.
Arguably one of the best menswear shopping experiences you can get. I checked them out shortly after opening and discovered a true gem, and when Kevin Mohan arrived it made it even easier to make this my go to. The team there takes the time to ensure you’re looking and feeling your best, they’ll push your boundaries just far enough to take your personal look to the next level. Even since moving to Vancouver this is my still my favourite place for menswear, online or in person you’ll be in good hands.
The best! The Helm offers everything from quality streetwear to high-end formal menswear consisting of a curated selection from designers all over the world. Their customer service is first-rate and the atmosphere is distinguished yet still comfortable. Even as a woman I enjoy visiting and my husband is hooked. The whole crew is outstanding but the GM Alana has provided us with the best service we have ever received since the first time we visited them in 2018.
Zach helped me pick out my wedding tuxedo and my dads wedding suit this past summer. He goes over and above on service and will not settle for anything less than perfect. The products this store sells are very high quality and long lasting. Haven’t been disappointed yet and don’t think I will be knowing Zach and the teams dedication to service and quality. Highly recommend.
High quality menswear from high quality people. The focus on not just the clothes but developing relationships with their clients is what sets The Helm apart. Shout out to Tre who has helped me out a couple times. He keeps me up-to-date with new product coming in that I'd like, sales on things he knows I'm keeping an eye out for, and always makes great suggestions without ever coming off as pushy. Do not hesitate visiting the team at The Helm!!
