In town for a short break on a long weekend and looking for some good vegan places and rather than go to chain restaurants, we would rather support local businesses. To top it all, female owned and operated. Cherry on the top. Too bad it was very windy and 6/7 degrees the day we visited, or else our first choice is to eat outside. Two picnic tables are available for a suitable day. Ordered a Taco Bowl and Sausage on a bun for me. The taco bowl made mild. The bowl was super tasty and flavourful. Simple bowl, but so much taste. The sale fresh, the the Beyond meat cooked perfectly, veggies sautéed nicely with perfect seasonings. The chips on the bowl gave a nice crunch. Just that the quantity was less than what we needed and the nacho chips again too little. The Sausage on a bun was top notch. Sautéed peppers and onions and beyond sausage. Perhaps a bit more mustard for the Mrs when she took a bite, but as a mustard lover it was good. Wish there was some more starch Fries? available to complete a meal. The lady who made the meal is super nice and her love of cooking shows up in the food she serves.
I picked up Taco Bowls for dinner tonight and they were amazing!! So flavourful and had the freshest veggies. I definitely recommend The Hearty Herbivore 10/10
The Hearty Herbivore offers outstanding service and a great menu full of flavourful items that should satisfy any foodie. My personal go-tos are the Meatball Sandwich and The Burger, which are both perfectly seasoned.
I had the quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious! this is the type of place where you want to try one of everything. the price is as it is listed, and you get great value and quality for what you pay. All the packing was compostable, even the 2 oz take out ramekins which I have never seen !!! Can't wait to try something else!!!
I started going to The Hearty Herbivore about 2 months ago. I have a dairy allergy so although I am not vegan I was excited to find somewhere that served food that was dairy free. I have tried a couple of items and they have been delicious. My favourite item and something I have been going back for every week is the quesadilla, it’s phenomenal. A bonus is that the owner is super friendly as well. I highly recommend the Hearty Herbivore.
Their quesadillas are sooo delicious!!! So happy to see a Vegan food truck in London Ont YUMM and YAY!!! I will definetely return again!
Tasty food! Great service! We WILL be back! It was awesome to grab lunch and slip across the road and enjoy it at the park! Parking: Parking was plentiful! It is always a concern when we are traveling with 'the bus'
Tonight we had the incredible pleasure of enjoying a fantastic vegan meal. As a vegetarian on the path to veganism, it was such a pleasure to enjoy a vegan meal that truly tasted amazing. We shared the Quesadilla which was absolutely delicious. Finding a cheese substitute that tastes this good is a true find. We also had the Organic Hearty Herb-bowl which just tasted like health in bowl. It was so fresh and tasty. My husband, who is a true meat-a-holic loved the Meatball Sandwich. If you haven't tried it yet, you are definitely missing out. We will definitely be back.
Finally decided to stop by and try this place and it was a 10/10! The taco bowl was incredibly flavourful, fresh, and tasty! The chef was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service! I will definitely return and recommend to others!
Tasty Truck Take-Out! This plant-based food truck is a great addition to our community. Their meals are hearty indeed: Filling and tasty, served in compostable containers, their food is good for your tastebuds, tummy and conscience. Service is very responsive and friendly. Even on a super cold winter day they were open, with a quick warm and satisfying meal... and an equally warm and friendly chat. Definitely recommend supporting this local ethical and yummy business!
