Not off to a good start. Service was horrible and it wasn't busy. Waited almost 15 minutes just to get spoken to and take our order and we had to ask for our waitress. The staff looked a bit lost and there were lots of discussions going on as if they were trying to figure things out. Some stood looking out the window while people waited for food, , and their check. AC was not keeping up so it was hot in there. Food was good. Brisket Bennie was tasty. English muffins are fluffy and not like traditional. Greek omelet didn't have fresh spinach. What, no toast with the omelet?! And then the home fries.... What the hell? They were just diced potatoes. No imagination or flavor. And the coffee.... This is the most important thing for breakfast/brunch. Has to be strong and flavorful. Come on folks, get better coffee. Portion sizes were okay but not as large as one would hope, especially for the price. We'll give them a few weeks and try again.
After living in southern NM for 20 years I had certain expectations when it came BBQ. Guilty Plate has teamed up with Mark’s BBQ and I now have a restaurant where I can find authentic TX BBQ. The authenticity goes down to the metal tin tray the food was served on and the slices of white bread. I’m stuffed and I have plenty of pulled pork and brisket to take home as well as cowboy beans. If you want some real TX BBQ look no further. I’m attaching my son’s photo of his 3 meat plate. Parking: There is plenty of parking for this restaurant.
Went in for dinner. 3 of us. I got the open faced turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes. Amazing smoked turkey. Wife had smoked salmon. I'll take her word for it being "one of the best" she's ever had. Large portions. The kid got chicken tenders and fries and from my sampling they were excellent. Service was top notch. On the way home we were discussing how that same salmon plate, at another favorite restaurant of ours, would have easily been $30. Quality, prices, portions, service all 5 star.
AMAZING!!! Yes we waited, yes it was busy, but it was well worth it! We went on a Sunday around noon and had a normal 20 minute wait time. Staff was AWESOME and food was even better! Chicken fried steak-YUM! Now I wish I had taken pics...Can't wait to go for dinner!!! We live around the corner and there are limited take out options in this area lol see my other reviews so I can't wait for take out on Thursday as soon as they are open again this week!! Thursday's Update: I had to remove 2 stars for dinner last night. The menu said "FRESH haddock dusted in house blend of seasonings," and unfortunately, it wasn't fresh or dusted. It was frozen fish fillets. Blah.
We were looking forward to trying this place since it reopened. The place is really nice, I like the decor and it's clean. The staff was nice too. I got the country fried steak and it was flavorful, and my partner got the french toast and again, she said it was decent. Portion size was kinda small compared to other places as well, but that said it was the "right" amount of food, so maybe I'm just used to getting the American size portions. There were really only a couple things we had issue with. One was the use of paper plates, but maybe since it just opened they had a shortage of plates or something. And it's not that paper plates are bad necessarily, it just seemed wasteful and it made the presentation not as good as any other diners around. Second was the coffee, it seemed really watered down. This was a theme because the syrup seemed watered down/thin as well. Again, didn't taste awful, but seemed like a cost cutting measure. Which brings us to the next point of price. I get the economy and inflation and whatnot, it just seemed expensive for what we got. All in all it was an ok experience, and I may go back, but it's not going to be the first place I think of unfortunately.
Updating for management: Quick to be seated and wait staff was friendly. Menus were coffee stained and food was lackluster. Toast was cold, home fries were flavorless were cooked in a way that gave them a spongy feel. Super bummed because we enjoy Mark's BBQ and those flavor profiles. Relayed this to the waitstaff and nothing really came of it.
Went in for breakfast, diner was clean, the help was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was great! Especially the Brisket Hash. My only issue with them is they do not send your toast out buttered. But my waitress was awesome and buttered it for me! Thanks Taylor.
The food was good, the eggs had brown patches, and the material inside the omelet was not all the way cooked. Amazing hash and great servers. I will be going again to give them another try.Food: 3/5
Excellent food , atmosphere, staff I will definitely be back
Absolutely a great place to eat. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious. The chicken was bigger than the bun! By a lot. The wait staff was very friendly too.Food: 5/5
