Spent my 21st birthday at the Green Room with Dakota as our barkeeper. Not knowing much about alcohol, i would as him for recommendations along the lines of what flavors i was craving. Dakota would every time come back with a cocktail more delicious than the last. My absolute favorite was the Jack Rose, which he recommended after i mentioned i wanted something fresh and apple flavored. The house made cake was creamy and delicious and was a nice contrast to the drinks. Mellow music at a volume that allows intimate conversation, and an overall amazing atmosphere. I cannot recommend The Green Room enough.
Recommended place for whiskey connoisseurs. They have a huge variety of options abd the crew is trained to give you what you're looking for. The interior look like a fancy library with warm lighting. Perfect to end the night.
We shared a dozen oysters, the beets and squash, and cacio e pepe cauliflower. All were delicious and thoroughly enjoyed. The appetizer plates were a little small but priced fairly. One star off realistically only 1/2 star if I could because the cocktails were pretty expensive, albeit tasty as hell. 10/10 would come again and maybe get an entree and desert next time
Visited the Green Room while waiting with our fingers tightly crossed to get in to the Whiskey Library last minute. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Tried the Old Fashioned and the Deviled Eggs, both were amazing but those Deviled Eggs… wow! I honestly don’t think any other Deviled Eggs will compare. Also, when it was time for us to head up to the Whiskey Library, they transferred our tab up. If I’m ever in Portland again, I’ll be back to this place!
Awesome little spot below Multnomah Whiskey Library! The meat and cheese board and drinks were amazing!
This place is amazing. What a selection of whiskey . One could easily go broke trying everything. The bartender we had was very knowledgeable and did a great job helping guide us on our selections. This is the kind of place you want to go to if you really want to learn about whiskey.
This is the type of place that would inspire someone to become a millionaire, the music to the ambience was astounding. Although only being guests, we felt welcomed. We were only there a few minutes because my friend left after having a panic attack seeing one of the your bartenders Zak Hussein, the man that s**ually assaulted her, gleefully making drinks. Would definitely recommend, but not if you're one of Zak Husseins 25+ victims. Other than that, I'd definitely try it again!
Wasn't able to go to go to the Multnomah Whiskey Library since there was about a 3 hr wait so went to The Green Room instead. Nice selection of whiskey and pretty cool interior. Ordered the sticky toffee pudding and that tasted great to. The service was good as well, except for forgetting my bill at the end but I wasn't in any rush anyway.
The “waiting room” to get into the Whiskey Library has a wonderful vibe of its own. A much more casual area that still has great cocktails and snacks. First come first serve for seating, but seems like always a place to be found. Great cocktails. Period.
My husband and I had the loveliest time at the Green Room! The hubs got the Earl Greyhound, a beautiful lemony cocktail with notes of bergamot. I don't drink alcohol, so the awesome bartender took notes on the flavors I like and made me a very classy mocktail they called the "Jungle Flower" which was refreshingly citrusy and complex in the best way. We both agreed that these were easily the best drinks we've ever had. Also, if you get a chance to make arrangements in advance to check out the upstairs, it's absolutely gorgeous. When we came, they had a wood fire roaring in the fireplace which made the atmosphere indescribably cozy. We will absolutely be back!
