What a gem of a cafe tucked away in Grand Blanc! From the cool vibe of books and maps to the unique individual coffee cups this place started off strong. The food didn’t disappoint either. All locally sourced products that hit the flavor bell. Fresh eggs and banana French toast and tasty home fries. Everything was wonderful. Service was friendly and informative, will return to try the sandwiches and cocktails.
Quaint little spot for a breakfast or brunch! Located in a nice, private spot near a few other companies. Homemade food and a large amount of portions. Unique stemware and tableware for the eclectic personalities. Inside and outside seating available.
I showed up at Grafted Root Eatery at roughly 11:50am EST on 03/30/2023, the place was busy but not crowded. The wait staff was quick to seat my dark skinned Middle Eastern father and I important for later. We got a nice table and ordered two cocktails. The two spicy Bloody Mary's could have passed for a virgin drink, less than 1oz of Vodka. The amount of Tabasco in the bottom was uncalled for. The lemon rind was at the bottom of a glass that was filled to the brim with ice. Who includes a lemon rind in a Bloody Mary?! Now to talk about the food order. My father ordered eggs over easy, toast, and home fries. I ordered a Turkey Reuben. Our order was placed, we waited 30+ minutes. Two other parties were sat and were served very similar food to our food order. One person was served eggs benedict eggs and toast, with a side of home fries, and the counter part of that person also got breakfast items that were quite similar to my fathers order as well. The other party that was sat well after us was served their food before us. They ordered lunch based food. Sandwiches to be precise. I ordered a Turkey Reuben, odd that these people were served before me. Then I noticed, my father was the only dark skinned person in the restaurant. To clarify, the other people that were sat, ordered, and were served before us were not dark skinned like my dad. Our drinks were sub-par. Our food, take a look at the pictures. We asked for our food to go, and this is what occurred. I paid my $54.06 bill and tipped well 20%. Also the health department might want to take a look at how they are preparing drinks and food. No gloves. No hand washing between drink making and customer cash handling duties. They were answering phones and writing orders down and going right back to BARE HANDED drink prep and food running. Again NO gloves. I am absolutely appalled that this place thinks it is okay to treat people like this. What started off as a happy lunch with my dad turned into an experience of service negligence or straight bigotry. Subpar drinks, substandard food see pictures of the food packaged by their wait staff, and smiling poor service has been a great disappointment. Very enlightening. Vegetarian options: Veggie - Veggie soup covered with Parmesan was on their daily board.
Absolutely delicious and affordable brunch! Super cute and photogenic restaurant! The mimosas and the meals we had were phenomenal! Will definitely be coming back!
I went here for the first time and my experience was great! I got a mimosa which was tasty. My food was superb as well. If you’re in the area and looking for mimosa’s and brunch, you have to visit this place!
Tucked away in a nondescript plaza without significant signage this little restaurant is very easy to overlook. Walking through the front door feels like stepping in to a secret club. The atmosphere is very eclectic, clean, and the menu and specials change frequently. The food is always fresh and delicious and is very fairly priced for the quality you get. Most items on the brunch menu are less than $10 but even something as simple as oatmeal feels gourmet. The menu and hour are geared toward the breakfast/lunch crowd but they do have a fully stocked bar and Ive witnessed some very impressive Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, and cocktails. This is one of the areas best kept secrets.
Atmosphere is cute. Its a really small room. The portions are on the smaller side. The quiche lorraine was crustless, with a custard texture. On the lighter side and not very filling. The one pancake and two eggs were tasty.
Wow! What an amazing find! We drove right by it and had to turn around, but I'm glad we did. The service was super friendly and the food was just.... YUM! The interior is cozy and the menu is very creative. I love that everything is fresh and locally sourced. We will definitely be back!
This is a cute, small hidden brunch place with great food and drinks. There is limited seating so I would advise getting there early or expecting to wait on the weekend. We had bloody Mary's, which were good. The baked olives and vegan bread were amazing! And the baked brie was also wonderful. Will definitely go back.
Fresh, delicious food that you don't have to feel guilty about eating. I was absolutely amazed at the freshness of the food, from the home cooked feel of the Quiche Lorraine to the perfectly picked dish of fresh fruit. This place is quaint and homey feeling. They put special care into preparing fresh food, rotating specials, and even have organic ketchup on each table! Delicious, fresh, and absolutely wonderful.
