We've passed on this place a few times because they were so busy. So glad we had an opportunity to finally eat there. Ample parking close to the restaurant. We entered and was greeted very friendly. It was a four minute wait so not long at all. The place is decorated in an array of different local memorabilia. We had the Hippy Trip to drink, it was mixed to perfection. The Gouda mac & chz bites appetizer was quite yummy. I had the perch sandwich and it was one of the best perch sandwiches I've ever had. Definitely top 3. The server was amazing. She was on top of everything and super nice/friendly. Definitely worth a visit. Parking: Ample parking
Pleasantly surprised I could get a decent salad in a town like this. Pleasant and attentive staff, clean and well cared for interior. Great place for a meal or a pint.
Nice rustic local restaurant. I ordered the bratwurst burger and my wife got the turkey bacon swiss on marble rye, both came with fries and both were excellent. Service was a little slow but not too long at all. The waitress was nice and hard-working. The interior has old reclaimed flooring on the ceiling, freight car doors on the wall, a train running around the top of the wall by the ceiling and pendant lights hanging throughout. We ordered an appetizer, one alcoholic drink, the two dishes I mentioned above and one dessert and our bill, without tip, was $54. I think that is very reasonable. We recommend you try this place!
Great food as always! The ribs are one of my favorites. The server was great and fast as usual. We go to eat there probably 2 times a month and usually on a Friday night. If you haven't tried The Freight House you're missing out. The ribs, Garlic cheese curds, fish, and even the tacos are wonderful.
They've got really tasty food. Their Ruben when it comes rote out of the kitchen is Amazing The atmosphere is nice. Last visit they we're short staffed not their fault so we had quite a wait. The frustrating part was we were never told they were short staffed and just waited and waited at our table... I ordered a salad as a starter. It didn't come until they brought the sandwich , which was 30 minutes. Great place overall. Will be going back!
It's been some time since I went there. Used to love their burgers when they were locally sourced from smith's. I got the Mac and cheese bites which I seem to recall getting more with that last time. Waitresses were doing everything they could in a pack house and seeming under staffed. Very friendly! My Buffalo chicken wrap wasn't very buffalo at all. Fries are still great.
A "goto" place..burgers are so good and cooked to your desired doneness. Wish they had blue cheese crumbles but they do have blue cheese slices so OK by me. Wait staff really good. so tip them!Food: 5/5
Amazing drinks! It’s super cute inside and the pizza was good. Our waiter wasn’t very friendly unfortunately. And I was disappointed about not having dessert even though it was on the menu. They should have a sign or temporary menus so people don’t get their hopes up.
I had the Cuban and peach tea, my girlfriend had the impossible burger and another house cocktail. Both were amazing. Server was a little stand offish but sometimes that happens. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Killer Bloody Mary, salad, & cheesesteak sandwich. Staff is dope. A choo-choo goes 'round yer head. Outstanding.Food: 5/5
