Being accustomed to staying in large hotel chains, we were afraid that booking a B&B would be a little too intimate for us. We were wrong. Spencer was there to greet us upon our arrival and showed us to our room. We quickly found our surroundings beautiful, peaceful and very private which made you feel like you were the only people there until you wake up in the morning and followed the aroma of breakfast to the kitchen where you are greeted by the friendly faces of the other guests that you share a table, your previous day experiences and your plans for the day with. If enjoying your privacy is what you prefer, there are lovely cafe tables on the patio  where you can take in the serenity. 

The house is perfectly located. We parked the car and never got back in it till it was time to go home. Everything we came for was within walking distance. 

Thank you to our gracious hosts Spencer and Christopher for making our little getaway memorable.

Excellent place to stay in Tobermory. You can walk to town or to the National Park. What sets The Forest House apart is the hospitality of Spencer and Christopher, the owners. They were able to accommodate a vegan diet at breakfast and did so with pleasure. Their regular breakfasts were excellent too! Definitely recommend staying here for a bit of luxury while you're enjoying the natural beauty of Tobermory.

Perfect location, 5 minute walk to trail that leads to town. Genial hosts, very interesting and friendly. Great breakfast, specialty cook. Clean, private room. Would stay again.

Spencer and Chris are great hosts, and give great advice on activities and sites; a real local's perspective.  Spencer prepared the finest freshly cooked breakfast daily.  Rooms were luxurious and modern with comfortable beds and amenities. It was nice to be outside the tourist center of Tobermory.
