This is an amazing clinic. They were very accommodating and affordable willing to work within my budget for my sweet pig Betty. Unfortunately results didn’t turn in the favour I wanted to but the Melissa and another amazing lady didn’t catch her name sadly were so amazing in understanding my mental state, affordability’s and left me with many options. They were great in explaining the conditions my pig was in, and how to prevent it next time along with many more things. Although I would have been able to medicate her to potentially get better, she wouldn’t have been able to walk again, and what quality of life would that have been.. they allowed me to talk out my options privately with my fiancé, and say my goodbyes and have some personal time with Betty. I took a few days to write this review due to being so sad due to saying goodbye to my girl. I’d like to thank them and the full clinic for amazing work, efficiency and people experience. You make a horrible situation a great experience and I can’t thank you enough. I will continue to use this clinic, hopefully within better terms next time but if not I know I’ll get the proper information and treatment and options. Betty spent her remaining hour and a half laying in the warm sun in the grass with some blankets, milk, gaterade and her favourite food, scrambled eggs. She didn’t go unloved, but she definitely got more brave as when we got home she tried her hardest to walk in the grass and made it a good 10 minutes without falling over. Before we said goodbye we allowed her to take a walk through our trees and flowers, and was burried amongst the trees behind our pens, close within our animals, but not close enough to harm them. Thank you all for your generous hearts, it goes very appreciated. I really hope the 2 lady’s I had working with my case see this! And I wish even more this would let me send a photo on Betty as I got a beautiful one of her last steps
Called in a senior equine choke emergency they took us right away and worked so hard on my old boy 30yo. I appreciate all their hard work and so does my horse! Would recommend! Thank you all!
This little kid managed to catch a Respiratory infection. By late last night he was failing fast with little hope that he would pull through. Dr. Somers was on call and was nothing short of kind and professional! I greatly appreciated such amazing service on a late night call. This is the little guy this morning up and able to walk to his mom for food
The farm animal hospital in Leduc is a well run organization. The Vets are very knowledgeable and are willing to share their knowledge. The Vets saved one of our newborn calves this spring. If you need help with your larger animals they are the ones to call. But it will cost you some money.
I recently had a dog that got attacked by a coyote and the staff at this clinic have been amazing. They have been caring both to my dog and me beyond any experience I have had at any other clinic. I know I would not get this same service anywhere else. Dr. Caspars has been amazing and she has given me nothing but good advice on how to handle things. She arranged my follow up appointments around my schedule.
Well so far Dr. Fisher has been wonderful and she appears to be quite knowledgeable about things in general. The best part is she actually took the time to research my breed of dog - a maremma - before I went in to see her the first time, which most vets would never do. Her bedside manner is truly second to none and she seems to have genuine empathy and a sense of caring you don't always see in the field of veterinary medicine. Kudos to all of the wonderful folks at LVH!
Dr Fisher was great, she was working hard to figure out what was wrong with my pup who was rather sickly up to 2 years of age. The only issue I had was with the front reception desk staff. During my last visit Dr. Fisher said there was more tests to be done, Don't bother paying the bill right now and come back the next time your pup has a flare up which according to pattern would be prior to 30 days because tests needed to be done during this flare up. So I aggreed and off I went. I thought Dr. Fisher was so good I recommended this vet clinic to my friend of mine for her dog. 3 weeks after I had left form my last appiontment she was at LVH with her dog. When she went in to get him the lady at the front desk refused to turn her dog over stating because she was a friend of mine and I han't paid my bill right away they would hold on to her dog until I paid. So I get a very unhappy phone call at work. I explained Dr.Fisher cleared this it was an ongoing investigation if you will into my dogs condition she said pay after next visit 30 days plus the bill statement from them states a % will be added on after 30 days which I was fine with. Front desk didn't care, didn't check with Dr. Fisher so I gave them my credit card info over the phone and they returned my friends dog. It was never a lack of money it was simply this is happening every 30 days we need to catch it mid flare up come back then pay later so I wouldn't be paying the consult fee each time. Anyways I Never went back and now attend a new vet for last 2 years. My friend also moved vets the next day after this event.
I really appreciate the quality veterinary work, along with dedicated vets and staff willing to take the time to answer any questions I have. I also really appreciate the fact that they respect the needs of a farm and work with us.
They took a look at my pet pig on super short notice, who came down with pneumonia and got her treated and back to normal. the staff and service were great!
