Came here on Thursday night for live music and you can tell that the people working and coming here have a lot of history with the pub. At the same time, there were definitely newcomers like us and everyone was treated pleasantly with the friendliest staff you could find. The British Pub vibes were definitely there and their new location is promising with a dimly lit atmosphere. As for food, the scotch eggs with grainy mustard were delicious. Drinks were poured perfectly and we ended up staying longer than intended. We would definitely return here again as it would be a crime not to!
New location, updated interior, same great vibe. One of the few places you can get a Scottish breakfast but all the breakfast options are so good and reasonably priced NOTE: the TLT is 20% hotter than you probably want it. Enjoy the casual street view and super friendly service.
Tried the new location, spacious and easy to move around in. Beer is as good as always. Tattie Fritters are as exceptional as they were. Wander over to uptown and get reacquainted with a dolled up old friend in a new location. You won't be be disappointed, I wasn't.
A great place to hangout during weekends. Food is great and ambiance reminds you of old British era. A must go for all KW visitors.
Great pub in the Uptown area that features bar food with a British twist! This is a place to come with your “chaps” to drink stouts and eat apps. We got the sliders, poutine and order of nachos. Definitely way more food than needed for two people, suggest this order for a group of 3-4 people. The staff here are accommodating and bring food out relatively quick, I would come again with a group :
Food was ok. Atmosphere was nice. Great location.
Craig got me my pint and burger and shut up about it. Great service, surprisingly fresh and tasty food. It's a pub, I've been burned before at pubs by flat beer and overcooked burgers, but the folks at The Duke, clearly give a damn about surfing seriously top shelf suds and quality food. Word is they've got great live music too. Highly recommend The Duke and I'll be back for more.
A great local pub! This is becoming one of our go to places for a bite and drink. Service and food is always good, and the live music is a great bonus. If you want to catch a game they usually have it on. I suggest making plans to visit, meet some friends and enjoy!
10 out of 10 would not recommend. The staff are nice. The food was completely horrible. $18 for a hamburger. I would at least expect the patty to be fresh not frozen. $20 for a bone dry Shepherd pie. Store bought dessert.
I work at another restaurant. Best mac and cheese I will probably have in my entire life span. I told the owner himself. I told him if you want to understand what I'm talking about, go get yourself a bowl. The music and atmosphere was absolutely incredible. I broke down hearing the beautiful voice of a gorgeous song.
