The food was fantastic, the service flawless by the very courteous & accommodating staff and to our accompaniment was the live music by two gentlemen who made our evening memorable! The setup and the ambience was soothing overall. We had ordered the wing deal & nachos and guzzled on rum & the Caesar’s drink which was spiced to perfection! Definitely, gonna be back
We came here during the summer to try it out. They have a casual patio and table setup in the parking lot. Good prices for drinks and excellent service. The crowd is a bit older and has less students compared to uptown Waterloo. Also enjoyed the neighbour's lawnmower and the smell of freshly cut grass. Made it feel like a backyard patio experience.
Visited for the first time tonight, the whole experience was amazing. Intended to come for dinner and drinks but ended up staying over 5 hours. The food was so good and the staff were super friendly. You can tell the place is full of regulars which is always a good sign. They had karaoke tonight which although we didn't participate was super fun to watch! We live within walking distance and now hope to make a trip here a weekly thing. Definitely a hidden gem in Waterloo!
My partner ordered this for our family dinner tonight. I had the roast beef dinner. It honestly tasted like a home-cooked Sunday supper. Tender beef, great spuds, Tendercrisp veg, rich gravy, and good portion. Haven’t had a restaurant roast beef dinner like this in a long time. Will definitely add to our takeout list. Thanks very much!
This place is the definition of a quaint little pub! When I say little, I do really mean that as well; it's almost too small and that is the only downside here, I'd say. I came on here on a karaoke night and because of how small it is, it was difficult to have a conversation without almost yelling. Would I come back again though? Probably, as the service was great and the prices were fair too.
I got the 2 Pc haddock with coleslaw, tartar sauce and malt vinegar. Called in the order at 6:28 Friday night and picked it up in 15 minutes for take out, friendly service. Could've been more golden fries for $18 special. Wife thought the batter was greasy, I didn't think so. Fish was ½-⅝" thick in the middle
Where have I been the last decade?! Since change of ownership, this local pub is Erb St West's best kept secret. Their nacho platter us the best I have tasted locally....they make their own chips! All dishes from burgers to pastas to fish n chips are fabulously home made... The sweetest little patio in the back....I prefer my own local pub restaurant over uptown Waterloo any day. Great priced, cheap drinks but yummy..cocktails are delightful larger sizes.. you will not be disappointed.
Great food, great staff and great entertainment A true hidden gem in the K/W region.
Friend and I sat down and looked at menus, showed server showed our IDs and told her we needed a few minutes to figure out what we wanted. Another server comes by and asks what we wanted to drink, to which we responded a pitcher of Molson. She says she needs a second, leaves, and the first server returns to ask us if we had been drinking and that they will not be serving us tonight. Neither of us had been drinking and had not been acting in any such way and are also well over 19, kicked out for absolutely no reason minding our business. Garbage experience, also kind of feels like the kind of place boomers who have given up on life go. Highly recommend avoiding this dump.
Good food friendly staff very out going will return again
