What a spot! So I just finished a full day here in Brandon visiting a customer. It’s 4 O’clock, I didn’t eat lunch, and 6 is way to long to wait for dinner. My buddy had mentioned to me earlier in the week The Dock is a must visit while I’m in town for the next couple days. No time like the present! I’m telling you, no joke, the food was 10/10. Ordered 3 apps hey, when you’re on the road, might as well Mozza Stix - they’re made from scratch ! Crispy Calamari - those caramelized onions were extremely delicious Tequila Lime Tacos - yet another home run I attached tons of pics folks! My names Evan, I’m born, raised and currently live in Winnipeg and I approve this local Brandon absolute gem Ps Jenna served me, she was great! Super funny and easy to chat with.
Had a great lunch and couple drinks I've never tried before. Great food, friendly service & overall nice atmosphere. We were charged couple dollars more for our meal than what was on the menu & also for the side, but no biggie.
Enjoyed our visit. Prompt friendly service. Tasty Lime margaritas! Had the Dock burger and Beer battered fries.
We really enjoyed our food. Portions are kind of small but so tasty. We had marinated steak sandwich and braised beef.
It was OK. Seems like a nice patio spot in the summer, or a bar to watch sports, meet up with friends after work. However for us, it wasn’t quite what we like when it comes to a dinner spot, drinks were great though! We had some beer on tap and it was excellent. I wish there wasn’t 5 menus, we were handed a drink menu, a drink special menu, dessert menu, harvest menu, and the regular menu. It was a little hard to order.
I really enjoy this bar! The food is great and beer is at the perfect temperature! I totally recommend for people who want to hang out with their friends. Also the pool tables are nice and well maintained.
We had the dock cater our wedding yesterday. Erin was wonderfull and really helped make the planning and arrangements for the supper stress free. The food was amazing and there's was plenty for everyone plus leftovers. Thank you so much to the Erin, and the rest of the crew for helping to make our day the best it could be.
The Birria Burger was a tasty, creative spin on the popular tacos! Although the side of Coconut Onion Rings were adequate, I expected a larger portion given the price. The Half Chipotle Caesar Salad was a good size to split between two people for another side; it came with lots of real bacon chunks and shaved parmesan cheese as well as the delicious smoky dressing and house made croutons. UPDATE: I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars! Yesterday, we dined-in to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and had a lovely evening on the patio. The service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. We ordered the Smokehouse Cheese dish for an appetizer and, as the name suggests, there was a deliciously strong smoky flavour to the cream cheese. I'm happy that I got to try it before their Summer Menu is discontinued this week. I ordered the Braised Beef Dip for my entrée and, to be honest, I asked for a side of extra horseradish aioli because I didn't think there'd be enough of it and the sandwich would be dry as is sometimes the case at other restaurants. I was very wrong, as the meat was tender and flavourful. The focaccia tasted freshly made and was the perfect vessel to soak up the au jus. Our only disappointment was that they were out of Beer Battered Fries, but we'll just have to get them when we go back for Wednesday wings! Oh, and for a drink, I'd recommend the White Sangria because the strawberry puree in it added the perfect amount of sweetness.
I had a mediocre experience at best at this restaurant. It’s been a reoccurring theme: weak food aside from the beer battered fries, credit must be given where it’s due and lacklustre service. From my most recent experience, we had poor attention to our table as the person who brought our meals out had no clue where they were to go, the server never came to refill waters or check on how our food was tasting and if there were any concerns, and when a mistake was noted by us with regards our order, there was a profound sense of hesitation from our server to own up to the mistake that was made. In the end, the mistake was rectified, but ended up making us feel like the “bad guys” for objecting to poor service.
