The Desert Pita & Grill

Fantastic place, went there for a work lunch for the first time. Great family business, so helpful, very friendly. Definitely returning!

This is by far the best pita place I have found in Calgary. Both vegetarian and meat options are delicious and the staff has been incredibly friendly every time I visit. When I am looking for something delicious for lunch and I don't know what I want, I fall back on the Desert as the place to go.

SO GOOD. We always order, through Uber Eats, the mixed wrap which comes with donair, chicken, veg, and AMAZING sauces, as well as a combo 3 with beef donair. Portions are huge, food is fresh and delicious every time. Their cream baklava is god sent, and they even threw in some free baklava last time. Thanks for the perfect dinners!!

The desert is fine. I feel that the food is quite basic for good shawarma in Calgary, but what really stands out here is the baklava, which is probably my favourite I've had. It strikes a nice balance of sweetness and has a good texture.
