The Deck

Just had my first date with a very special girl....and the experience was far beyond what I expected. The Lake...the beach....the atmosphere... impeccable service... Superior location.... overall I'd give it 10 stars. Highly recommend checking it out.

Meat plus Three (sides) is a lot of food. Sliced brisket was wonderful but might have been better if delivered warmer. No matter what you order, get a side of bbq beans... best I've had. Friendly, courteous and the sun was shining on the deck at The Deck. Go figure!

This place is a legit barbeque joint. Just get the sampler platter. It will feed two, and it is amazing. The meats are smoked very well, the sauces are delicious and the sides are amazing. The view of the lake is great. The live music was a nice touch. While dining here, it is very easy to forget that you're in Michigan and not on a beach somewhere in coastal Carolina. The only drawback is that they do not have any draft beer, although they have a decent selection of cans.

This place is awesome. Varied menu with lots of options including gluten free. Good food with no wait and it's right on the beach. Attentive wait staff. A must visit if you are in the area!

I look forward to Memorial Day when they open their doors. Yes the tables and chairs are not the most comfortable to sit at, but after a day at the beach, this is the best spot in town. Great music, great drinks, and amazing BBQ. You will not leave hungry that is for sure! They changed their menu this year, portions seem slightly smaller, but still does not take away from the rest of the experience.
