I walked out with the worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life. Christine was my stylist and at one point, she shaved one side of my head with clippers down to the skin, which is nowhere in the universe of what I ask for. I went in with curly long hair down to the middle of my back. I did want a short haircut, but I did not end up getting that. I was in there for three hours, and my hair is still patchy in some parts. Two other Stylists had to step in and fix it. I thankfully didn’t have to pay but left with a piece offering of shampoo, conditioner, and gel for free. I'm super upset after my appointment today. I have fairly wavy / curly hair and wanted guidance on products to use and how to get the best out of my hair as I've always worn it straight.nnI walked out 45 minutes later, a limp, greasy uncurled mess, where I immediately went home to wash my hair again.nMaybe my stylist didn't understand waves versus curls and didn't know you don't need that much product otherwise the waves get weighed down too much. You also do not constantly brush it as you're working on it. She really didn't seem to have any idea of how to help me get the most out of my hair. I also wasn't educated even though I stated I was looking for guidance.nnI couldn't believe it when she tapped me on the shoulder and asked if there was anything else she could do when I was basically sitting in the chair with soaking wet hairnI basically paid $75 for nothing.nnConsidering I filled in a very detailed questionnaire before I went to my appointment on exactly what I was looking for I’m APPALLED this stylist worked on my hair if she had zero idea on how to style it.nnThe photos are how I walked into the salon and how I left.
I had a wonderful experience at this salon! After researching the stylists and their portfolios, I found Tonika, who specializes in tight curls like mine. From the moment we started, I felt understood—she genuinely listened to my hair journey and respected my insights about my hair.nnTonika used just the right amount of product, and her thorough wash, conditioning, and detangling process made a noticeable difference. Throughout my appointment, she consulted with me on the condition of my hair and offered valuable suggestions for improvement.nnThe curly cut she provided was excellent, and I left the salon feeling completely satisfied. The pricing was also reasonable and affordable. I can't wait to return for my next appointment. Thank you, Tonika!
Elisha is very sweet and professional! She brought my curly back to life. That’s my first time having a curl cut, she not only shaped my hair really well but gave me some tips to take care of the curl.
I've been going here for about 10 years and they always do right by my hair. They've helped me overcome heat damage and produce more growth than I ever imagined. As of late, I always book with Cindy. She has amazing hands and a very gentle touch for braids and cornrows - perfect for tender heads! It's pricey, but they're always going to work with you to make you look your best.
