I discovered The Curl Lounge Salon and Tonika, the amazing hair stylist, two years ago, and it has been a game-changer for my curly hair. Tonika introduced me to the right way to care for my curls, and ever since, I’ve been a loyal client.nnFrom haircuts to color, this place has been my go-to for everything. I’ve changed my hair color three times here, and each time, they’ve handled my hair with so much care and precision. Despite the color changes, my hair remains healthy and damage-free, which speaks volumes about their expertise and the quality of products they use.nnThe attention to detail, personalized advice, and warm atmosphere make every visit a pleasure. If you’re looking for a salon that truly understands curly hair and puts your hair’s health first, The Curl Lounge Salon is the place to be. Highly recommended!!
LOVE THIS PLACE!! I seriously could not recommend it enough! I came to get a curly cut and was so happy with the results. My stylist gave me good tips and tricks to work with my hair specifically. The staff were all so kind and I will definitely be returning in the future!
I went in mid October and I had just moved to Toronto, felt like this could be a good place. I have never had a proper curly cut before so I was very excited but this is the most disappointing haircut i’ve ever had. I asked to keep my length but layer it a lot in the back because my curls have a tendency to fall flat because of all the weight, and showed the stylist exactly what I meant by physically showing her how high I wanted to layers to go, as well as an inspo picture. I also explained that since i’d never gotten a curly cut that I have always had a disconnect in my front sections and wanted to fix that. I ended up with minimal layering, so I still have the same issues i’ve always had with my curls falling flat, and probably the WORST disconnect i’ve ever had. She styled it using a lot of gel so I walked out with embarrassingly crunchy curls, but more importantly I couldn’t tell just how bad it was until I showered. Debated going back during the 2 week grace period but I can’t afford another $40 in uber drives and the risk of it getting even worse. I wish I was a confrontational person because if I could go back I would not have paid for it at all, let alone $150. My stylist was a sweetie and I feel bad but I am so disappointed with this place.
My long beautiful hair is gone. Went to get a haircut for the first time in two years, and I’m so sad and so so disappointed. I had so much hope in this place. The stylist and me agreed on a length to chop off as I had dead ends, but I’m just absolutely confused as to what happened. It might just be hair to some people, but it does hold sentimental/cultural value to others. I started off with hair down to my butt and I’m leaving with hair just two inches below my shoulders. I got an apology and a discount, but idk how any of that helps. I’m so heartbroken.
I would not recommend this salon. We booked an appointment with the Dalin. I asked the hairdresser to cut a quarter inch off my daughter‘s beautiful curly hair. The hairdresser who we never have been to before- it was our first time, cut over an inch off my daughter‘s hair. My daughter 11 years old and was crying after she left the salon. I called the Owner. She never called me back. When we were there she was too busy to even say hello to people. She feels doesn’t need to be kind, nice or professional with people. I will never go back to this salon and there’s nothing I can do about my daughter‘s hair. She could not even put it back in a ponytail it was so short she was insecure about her hair for the first time in her life. When I called back to complain, they really didn’t have much to say. Very unprofessional and rude. No communication skills or customer service acumen. Completely inexperienced and not a place to go if you are a classy sophisticated person.
