The County Seat

I had heard a lot of good things about there food and salad bar. It was just average for me a and another couple.

Went for the first time a couple weekends ago...waited for about a half hour to be seated.However...there was no sign to "wait to be seated" that was visible so we looked and found a table in the bar area only to be chased out by the "owner/manager" almost rudely. The waitress was nice however clearly the only one waiting tables as several other staff were only clearing. Booth was uncomfortable for four people. We waited another half hour for our order to be taken and another 45 minutes for our food. The "special" which was prime rib.... so my party ordered off the menu. The sandwiches came with NOTHING on them...no vegetables no sauces...on either a pork tenderloin or a chicken sandwhich. Dry bun with a slab of meat. No pickle even on the plate. The pasta was good...Nothing to brag about but good. As was the chicken fingers. Prices were high considering what was served on some of it. Also... there seating seems to be an obvious issue and it seemed that while we were there just to eat and leave many people were sitting in the dining area drinking and hanging out for hours which filled up the tables that could have been used for other diners. Overall it was a ho-hum experience and frustrating at times. I would have liked to try the special just to know if it was worth going back.

Great Rib-eye sandwich and the salt and pepper fries were crisp and tasty.

Great food! Always can count on a good meal and great atmosphere!
