The Cottage Butcher

The new owners are lovely! We tried their hamburgers omg amazing!, shish kebabs, flattened chicken and sausages. All absolutely delicious, top quality and natural home made marinades. The owner is passionate about whole ingredients and no additives. This is a farm to table butcher. They own a farm in Manitoulin where many of their products come from. A true gem in Bala!!!

This place is not inexpensive but you get what you pay for. This place is filled with premium meats, seafoods and cheeses. Premium comes at a price. But this is Muskoka cottage country and why not splurge. I have never bought a bad product here. The lamb, beef and fish has always been very fresh and very good. They have a great selection of frozen items as well. Also a place to get really good cheeses. A small selection but all of them top grade.

We were here August 2018. They have the best hamburgers I’ve ever purchased. So good that we went back for more and brought some home. Steaks also were tasty and high quality. Can’t wait to visit next summer when we visit muskoka.
