The Colonial Pottery & Creamery

About

Homemade small batch ice cream, plenty of vegan options. Earth & Autumn Pottery made onsite. Home of Finger Lake Nectar's Honey.

Story

We are located in downtown Watkins Glen, NY, just one block north of the beautiful Watkins Glen State Park & five short blocks south of Seneca Lake. We have a variety of pieces for sale in both of our shops, but we also enjoy making custom pieces for our customers. If we don't have a certain glaze pattern or design you would like, we will gladly make it for you! It takes roughly 3 weeks from start to finish when creating a piece. We are also very happy to ship pieces to anywhere in the United States via FedEx.

In addition to our pottery, we also make our own homemade ice creams & waffle cones right here in our shop. We also carry other fine items from the region. These items include products from The Soap Garden, Pine Creek Designs cutting boards, Preliminaire's Chocolats, Oh Fudge!, Reisinger's Apple Farm, Finger Lakes Black Currants, & Chef William Creations.

The Colonial Inn & Motel is also located on the premises. Paul Marcellus has owned & run this with his family since 1997. If you would like to make reservations you can do so at www.colonialinntheglen.com or call us at (607)535-7545.

Finished up our vacation with some ice cream! We could not have had a better end with great service and flavors! We also got some honey that I am excited to try. Highly recommend!
Excellent ice cream selection and nice outdoor rocking chair seating. I had a two scoop cone with Eggnog Chip and Biscoff. Both were very tasty. My wife enjoyed the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup flavor. Definitely recommend this spot over the chain down the street.
Cozy little shop. The fireplace was nice on the cool evening. The ice cream was really good. Better than what you can find in the stores. We're glad we decided to stop.
I love this place! Has my two favorite things, pottery and ice cream!!
Average ice cream place. We chose this place because it was right next to our parking spot. There are a lot of other ice cream places to choose from on the street. The young girl who was serving ice cream seemed stand offish. That truly dampened the joy I associate with an ice cream place.
Made in-house ice cream. You won't see tubs with mass produced ice cream here. They also have local honey & maple syrup for sale. Great place and I always visit when I'm in town.
