The Coffee Vault

Been coming here for years. One of the best places overall in Nanaimo and adds heart and character to the town. Best & most eclectic coffee shop I've ever been too and the memories made here are like nothing else. Warm and kind staff as well.

coffee is standard. baked goods are done well. the atmosphere is okay. The leaky roof might be charming. I often choose an alternative due to the layout and insufficient mask enforcement. Staff are nice maybe too nice?.

This place is a hidden hidden gem out of the way in downtown Nanaimo. It’s an old bank with lots of character. The staff are always friendly, the coffee is great and the scones are the best you’ll ever have. Make sure to have it heated up.

Great food and drinks, love that they have gluten free and dairy free options. Fantastic atmosphere. Their coffee & tea has always been delicious. Not that little-kid friendly which can be very nice for date days/nights and staff hasn’t always been too friendly, but regardless a fantastic cafe to frequent!

A delightful, queer friendly cafe with ambience for daaays. Limited but delicious vegan options especially the panini, hot chocolate, and muffins... Not the tofu scramble.
