The Clay Pot
"Our Philosophy. There was an old-world way of cooking before microwaves and drive-through windows. Fresh and clean ingredients were introduced in earthen pots and slowly cooked over low heat, bringing out unparalleled flavor while maintaining life-giving nutrition. These meals were prepared to be enjoyed together with others, savoring life.At The Clay Pot, we believe that food should still be prepared with such love and care. We believe that sustainable, locally-sourced ingredients are good for our planet, our community, and our souls. We believe that incredible taste should be paired with life-giving nutrition. At The Clay Pot, you will find the freshest, cleanest ingredients prepared with delicate attention to flavor and tradition."

Been in town long enough to get past my childhood staples and started eyeing this place on the Google...took the plunge tonight and, Oh my, am I ashamed it's taken me this many years to try this place!! Walk in, Great ambiance from the start with a small bar lined with an amazing scotch assortment and the ideal music playing in the background. I'm greeted right away by the two workers behind the bar and welcomed to have a seat. Proceeded to have a very well-made Lemon Drop Martini and the Chicken Piccata--both just heaven! The best part of the whole experience though truly was the staff and the welcoming environment that each one of them created, you can tell its a great place to work which always speaks volumes to the care that is put into the food, and drink!
Absolutely amazing atmosphere and environment, the staff was so friendly and the food was amazing. Fresh, organic, healthy food at a reasonable price. The lobster pasta and rustic platter are my recommendation!
The food here is always phenomenal! I love the seasonally changing menu, the incredible service, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. I would recommend the Clay Pot to anyone who enjoys elegant dining.
We ate at the Clay Pot Bistro two consecutive nights. The food was spectacular both nights. First night Tuscan Salad and seafood risotto. Delicious! Second night was chef specials, pumpkin soup and balsamic glazed checked breast with mushroom risotto plus an amazing pear salad. Service was excellent and we spoke with the chef who asked if we enjoyed his specials. Yes!!!!
Nice selection of international beers. The food was great! Loved the pear salad, goulash and Blueberry crepe!Food: 5/5
If you have the pleasure of landing at The Clay Pot, consider yourself lucky. Never had a meal that left me so nourished, and not full, like most American bistros. Mariana, the partner owner, is a delight. Sea bass was perfect blend of flaky tenderness, crispy skin with perfectly added salty capers. Will be back with friends! Get the wood fired feta for an app!
Everything was delicious! We had the grilled feta, olive plate, chicken piccata, and the chef's special of venison ribs. The food was cooked perfectly! A great experience that will be had again.Food: 5/5
Stellar vegetarian dishes. Good mushroom risotto and a really nice 'vegetables in the clay pot' dish, which is like a French ratatouille with a warm spice mix great dish when evenings are getting cold. Service was very courteous and the ambiance was pleasant. It'd be a good choice for a date or a faculty interview with the college.
Sometimes you just hit gold. Clay Pot is gold through and through. We were in rural Ohio on the way from Quebec to Wisconsin. The specials were rack of New Zealand venison and Atlantic mackerel! Really? Absolutely superb - any five-star restaurant would be proud to have served a meal of this quality. The service was outstanding.
Wonderful server. Cute outdoor patio. Cocktail and food was good but not stellar. I had chicken picatta. Chicken was basic. Sauce had a lot of raw garlic. Would not get again.
