Such a great cozy bar. My husband and I love dark beers so we decided to try this. It's just up hill from pine tavern on the left. Located in the cellar. Great beer selection. Friendly people. Amazing atmosphere. We loved it and will be back. Had homemade scottish pies with vegan options. We were not hungry but we are planning to go back and try those. So far my favorite cozy bar/pub in bend.
Really great beer, choice red wine and a pretty spectacular plant-based pot pie. I haven't had a pot pie since I went plant-based and it was so good! Pretty neat little downstairs nook as well
Traditional English cask ale in a city full of everything but? Yes, please. The pub ale, best bitter, ESB, and porter - all favorites of mine at any English brewery - were on point. I could use a little less roasted melt on the porter, but that's a personal preference. I still like it. The cellar even feels appropriate for the beer that's being served. Please stop here and be a cool person when inside. The brewery has been in Redmond for 4 years or so, but I'm told they are moving it to La Pine, where the brewer lives.
I can’t say enough positive things about this place, the beer or the food. If you are a beer person or you think you are you need to come here because cask drawn beer is what truly should be. This is some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Like their beer the food is made in house, with care a passion for what this family owned business is based on. Thank you guys for a wonderful experience. Given the opportunity I will be back.
Lovely out of the way place vertically if not horizontally. Plenty of locals haven't been to it, but it's a gem. Walk to the basement for wood, brick and quiet. Kast's Tip: Call and see if The Snug is available it most likely is. Either way, grab a couple friends, congregate in The Snug and order several home-made savory pies. Chat, play a game, whatever. The country breakfast pie is my favorite, as it reminds me of England, but all are great.
Only had a pint skipped the food but greatly enjoyed my visit. The Redmond Red was fantastic and the pub is a great space. Small, but dimly lit and charming. Definitely looking forward to another visit to try more ales. I tried visiting a few days earlier during open mic night but the little place was packed.
As I have been to most of the outstanding offerings that Bend has to offer, I was looking for something different from the standard brew pub. This very little English style brew pub has a moderate selection of very tasty cask conditioned ales. The food selection is dedicated to various meat pies, and I think one vegetable pie. If you are interested in trying one of their pies, I recommend calling ahead as it takes half an hour to prepare.
Great little "English Pub" in the heart of Bend. Excellent English style ales, cask conditioned and served up with hand pumps. Very nice local interpretations of British pub food as well, all in a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a 'local' back home where we live in England. Bend has no shortage of good breweries, but if you have a hankering for some British pints and pies, this is the place.
We absolutely love the speakeasy/Clue vibe here! What a great find! The whole operation is family run by a couple and their mother in law. Talk about local! They’re happy to tell you about their cask ales and pies. This is a unique and wonderful must see spot.
The pot pies are worth the visit alone. Also, who knew mushy peas were so good. I am not much of a drinker, but even I had two beers; they go down very easy compared to beer coming out of a keg. It's hard to get a seat during peak hours, so that tells you how others feel about the place.
