"We are a restaurant that combines Asian flavors and cajun seafood. Our Chinese dishes are learned from Chinese senior chefs and from my mother's home cooking. The cajun specialty seafood is an original recipe created by me through countless experiments. Hope you all enjoy our cooking."

I am so happy this place turned out good!!! I was reallyyyyy craving Cajun crab legs and crawfish, but needed a place where my very white husband could also eat. The 3.7 average rating worried me, but it was totally worth the risk. I ordered the 3 seafoods combo, but should have only ordered 2 because I was already getting full from my pound of crawfish. I chose medium spice level, but wish I chose mild I like spicy food, but can't handle that well even though I'm Asian. I could power through the spice and still very much enjoyed my flavourful meal! My combo came with two corn and three potatoes in the bag. My husband ordered beef lol mein. The portion sizes were good, especially for the price. Would highly recommend!!!
This is the 6th Cajun seafood broil restaurant I have tired in Twin cities, compare to others, the taste is on the sweeter side. I got the original house sauce with medium spicy level with crab legs combo, I would say the pricing is not bad at all, 4 different kinds of seafood for $30. The BBQ sticks are slow and it's so-so. The dirty boba tea is also very sweet, they ran out of the bobas so I got the grass jelly instead.
I live 3 hours away and drove up for my birthday yesterday only to find out they were closed but definitely has the best seafood boils for a super good price!! Everytime me or my family comes up to the cities we get togo and still have leftovers for the next day which are just as good reheated in the oven for 15 mins!!! Definitely my go-too place
First time writing a restraunt review but felt it was warrented here. I stopped at The Cajun House while staying overnight in town because it was within easy walking distance of my hotel. The staff was very friendly, the food was great, and the portions quite large for the price! I ended up spending $20 and went home with enough leftovers for another full meal! I was the only person dining in at 6:30pm on a Thursday. I am suprised that it is not a more popular place.
Seafood was great. Flavorful with spices. The lamb on the stick was the best thing there. Prices ranged from $8 a plate to $32 for the seafood boil. They offer wine and beer. Have happy hour. Service was good. My water was filled many times. Do not get the noodle bowls though. Broth is bland.
1st time, wasn't what I expected. Was told 20 minutes wait for order, ended up being 45 minutes. Sausages in house mix was just gross. Food didn't appear fresh, more like leftovers.. not sure why it took 45-50 min to put together. Must say, place was pretty empty when I got there, but got more customers before I finally received my order. Kinda made me feel like my $60 order donation was but on the back burner. Ended up throwing it away, unfortunately! Even though, they are about a 15 minute drive from my house, I'll rather drive the 30 min to Cajun Deli for the much better quality of food and service! :
The foods there are amazing~~~I enjoyed the lamb stick and seafood! Wow~~~the oyster there is so great! I definitely will come back soon! By the way, the restaurant has elegant environment also!
Don't overthink this if you landed here because you're looking for someplace different to eat. And definitely don't delay dining at The Cajun House. JUST GO! Your existential gourmand soul will be condemned to eternity in British Breakfast Fare Hell if you don't. I was totally surprised about a combined Chinese and Cajun cuisine restaurant when I found out about The Cajun House. I was invited to The Cajun House to celebrate the important Chinese lunar holiday, the Mid Autumn Festival. I thought it was very odd to have our feast at a Cajun restaurant this year. WOW! What a FANTASTIC combination of such apparently different cultures! We ordered the biggest seafood combination meal on the menu: 7 pounds of mixed seafood, peppers, potatoes, corn, etc., cooked in a "Gumbo Revolution with Chinese characteristics." We also ordered one of each appetizer, several individual dinners such as whole, fried lobster, crawdads, mussels, clams, and too many others for me to recall now. Absolutely every single item was perfectly prepared and presented.
Lucked out, seafood was super good and fresh today!! Ordered 2lbs of crawfish, 1lb of shrimp and 1 lb of baby octopus - medium house sauce. Too spicy for me, next time I’d go with mild.
I always felt this place deserves more customers. Not saying the food is better than every other restaurants in town, but pretty delicious to me. They often have seasonal dishes, especially sea food, that’s hard to get from elsewhere. Very fair price too. I’d come here all the time if I didn’t live so far away from it.
