I went here with a larger group, and I couldn't believe how busy it was on a Wednesday afternoon! Luckily, we were able to snag a couple tables outside since the inside was packed. The weather was beautiful today so we couldn't complain. I ordered the bulldog chicken sandwich and our table also shared some mini donuts and fried pickle appetizers. It was probably the best grilled chicken sandwich I have had to date. The chicken was super tender, juicy, fresh, and seasoned perfectly. I added some extra toppings on it, but I could probably go without them next time since the sandwich holds it's own.
We stopped here before going to enjoying the holiday glow lights at the CHS field. It was a cool night, with lots of snow. We found a table and waited about 10-15 minutes before offered a drink and menu. I’m guessing like most places, they were short staffed right now. The servers were all busy running around. It’s a good sized bar with multiple TV’s across the walls like most bars. Our drinks were good. However, one of the people in our party didn’t get a cocktail- just ordered a diet soda. She is a diabetic and can’t have regular soda. She was however served a regular soda. We didn’t know it at the time. She also ordered the salad with oil/vinegar dressing. So she had nothing with any sugar in it, so she thought. Half way through the meal, she got ill from the sugar in the soda. Like very ill. So much so, she had to get an Uber home and couldn’t attend the glow lights with us. She controls her sugars with insulin and diet. She didn’t have insulin with her, which would be fine, as long as she doesn’t have any sugar. Getting the soda WITH sugar, made her need the insulin NOW- immediately and of course she was 34 miles from home. It made me sad, that they didn’t really even care that the drink was wrong. When they refilled, they asked “diet?”. So it’s not that they didn’t KNOW, who ever hooked it up, added the wrong drink to the fountain or the server just grabbed whichever was easier. We will never know, but it’s sad that it caused my friend to get so sick and miss the evening out we planned as a group. This was a holiday outing for the group of us. It honestly ruined the night. We were all worried as she went home alone. Because of this, I can’t recommend the bar. The food was prepared as we ordered and came faster than we expected after waiting so long for our first drinks. Staff definitely were running. They all seemed unhappy, which maybe they were….? The location is great. Menu has something for everyone. The person who got the chicken strips, thought they tasted burnt/ over cooked. Otherwise, food was good, hot, and seasoned well.
Only had wings which were good…can’t say much else about the menu. The local vibe and outdoor seating was nice and our server was cool, had a great tat story!
Nice place to sit and watch the game while enjoying some really amazing cheese curds. Service was great, and it’s centrally located. Prepare to be on the look out for decent parking though.
This place is on point. I'm in town on business and just wanted a cool local vibe with great food, The Bulldog did not disappoint! Foos is incredible! Wings are some of the best I've ever had, cheese curds were amazing and the popper burger was on point. Locals were friendly and welcoming, great staff, great food and great beer!
The Bulldog is a nice little spot, I had a good experience here I visited when I resided in Minnesota! I came here once with a group of friends prior to heading to a St. Paul Saint's game and the location was great. The food was pretty good, and sitting on their outdoor patio made for a great atmosphere. I would definitely return here!
Food was amazing I stop by for a late by with a friend. I order fried pickles and a bacon cheeseburger with fries and she ordered a salad with french fries lol. Servers were very nice and polite and the environment was chill and laid-back.
A great location, for a great beer bar. Enormous selection of tap beer, close to the new baseball stadium, super friendly staff. I especially love the Nitro tap lines! It can be a little loud at boisterous in this bar at times, but when you want to let loose it's a good spot to do so.
This was a very fun place! Clean, modern, and relaxed atmosphere. They have darts. Fun food choices like tator tot hotdish it's thinner than a hotdish and mini corn dogs. We loved the bulldog theme.Food: 4/5
Came here for the first time after visiting the CHS field last Friday and the vibe was overall really dope. It seems like a real cool spot to hang out and socialize with friends; however, the service was extremely horrible! It took the waitress about 15 minutes to even address us after we sat ourselves, once she gave us our menu. It took her at least 15ish minutes to come back to take our order. The waitress was also serving another couple next to us who I believe she knew because she greeted them right away even took a shot with them and gave them menu. She was VERY attentive towards them. They got their drinks and food before we even got our drinks when we placed our order at LEAST 10 minutes prior to the couple even arriving. The couple next to us was greeted, given their drinks and food in a timely manner. She even consistently checked up on them throughout their visit. For me, she BARELY checked in on us. As soon as she gave us our drinks or food, she was gone again. Never asked us know everything was and when it came to get our bill, we waited at LEAST 20 minutes for her to run our card. Overall HORRIBLE service but the food and drinks were very good! I would probably return in hopes that the waitress that was working Friday night is no longer working there.
