I came in for breakfast today with my in-laws from out of town, this was my first visit to The Bread Peddler. We added it to our list because it came highly recommended from a friend. We spent $67 and were only mildly satisfied with our experience. the ambiance was nice, a few of the counter staff were sweet. The things that were disappointing were: the coffee was never hot, at most it was a bit above luke-warm. The eggs on our eggs Benedict were cooked properly but they were room temperature (cold) I had the lox Benedict and for the price we paid I was very disappointed in the cold food. Finally my mother-in-law ordered The Ham Quiche item and it came out as Lox/spinach I believe. Not only was it wrong but it could be dangerous to give out the wrong food like that, what if she had a fish allergy? When we approached the counter staff they explained the reason, but didn't fix it, just apologized. the reasoning was she ordered minutes before they switched varieties. this is a poor excuse. disappointed in the dining experience. For the price, service and quality of food we expected a bit more. Giving them another try, as perhaps it was a one off.

I enjoyed the atmosphere with nice music and friendly service. The drinks were good and not outrageously priced. The pastries are beautiful and it was hard to pick one, but the apple fritter is delicious.

Great pastry selection. Great coffee. Hot breakfast menu is a little limited but always really tasty. Popular place so get there early to get a decent table if you have more than 4 people in your party.

I was expecting the same great experience i had at dinner several months ago. But it took 35 miutes to receive my breakfast. There are times that delay may not matter. Today it did matter. I went in feeling optimistic and happy. I left feeling i had made a big mistake.

Delicious breakfast! Poached eggs and goat cheese with a balsamic reduction over artisan bread. Delicious!
